One thing we might not notice as Saints fans as we watch them every week but the standard response from most teams in this situation would be to count that as a lucky goal and park the bus. But no, what do we do? We go balls-out for a second. Whatever happens in this particular game, it certainly makes for entertaining football. Vin
Not quite but my girlfriend has told me several times she finds it very annoying when I see someone in space and instinctively come out with something like: "Go left. Go left! Goleftgoleftgoleft..." *balls gets passed to the right* "OH COME ON!"

For 8m easily at the mo buy of the transfer window.....even Merson said the other week "what a scout to find him at that price "
HALF-TIME - Chelsea 0-1 Southampton Jose isn't around to see the whistle, I imagine he's setting up his team-talk on Powerpoint...
Wanyama for me has been the best player again. Might be that he's had it easy against poor CMs but he's dominating them.
Would like to see Rickie on, Dani needs time in general but is not in the game and we can't afford a passenger in this situation.
Or maybe it's just an honest attempt to referee fairly. The officials have made a few little mistakes but probably same for both sides. Impressed he booked Essien, though it was as clear a dive as you'll ever see, many other referees wouldn't have done it. A penalty to us would just about cement it as a good performance for me He's more athletic though. Quicker to press the Chelsea defenders. I can see the logic in him staying on even if he's not getting chances. Lambert on for the last 20 in case we're hanging on and punting long balls.
Wanyama and Lovren are both playing well, and we have needed them. Have to try and retain possession a bit. JWP needs to be a bit more aggressive. He's been given space a couple times and opted to stop and cross when he could have forced the issue a bit more. He doesn't have to start weaving through defenders, but just take the space given and keep the defense honest so it opens up more space for the forwards. Ref has been okay. Letting a lot of stuff go and maybe favored Chelsea a bit overall, but nothing too bad. Osvaldo has been good. Hasn't really been given a sniff. He's been fairly creative though, and trying to create something out of nothing. I think we're going to need that.
I'm worried Osvaldo is gonna get a red card, he seems more interested in trying to wind up Terry and Cahil than the game...
Total steal. He says the PL suits his game because he can make proper tackles. The other day he said something like... in the PL, I might get a yellow card for a mistimed tackle, whereas in Ligue 1 I would spend 3 years in prison. In the recent excellent Daily Fail article it was mentioned that Lovren was certainly worth 3 times what Saints had paid for him [frankly, I wouldn't argue], and as early as the ManU post match analysis, Gary Neville was suggesting Saints had unearthed a gem. Spare a thought for Jose Fonte though. He is quietly holding up his end of the show, so far. Demba Ba is on for Essien. That means that Wanyama has bossed him out of the game.
With two strikers the full-backs are going to have to be more responsible, particularly Nat unfortunately, can't afford to have Dejan and Jose constantly coming across to cover and leaving space.
Seriously? I see a completely different thing on my TV Wouldn't say anyone was particularly standing out so far, but guess that's because we're up against a decent opponent.
