Blast. Cest wins. No trawling required TBH. It took seconds to find, good memory and all that. Besides the missus is out with the kids......... . Cest. You and your opinions are so flimsy, they are in effect. Irrelevant.
Cest - I know you are totally peed off with saturday, and rightly so, but I still think you are over-reacting. Bruce has brought in a lot of players, and as others have said - sacking him after 2 games is NOT the answer - we would be a f*cking bigger laughing stock than the sc*m up the road. Come on - we played well for 60 mins against the scousers, and nobody would have been suprised if we were at least 1 goal up at half time, which was what our superior football deserved (though the filth might disagree). I agree that it must have been only SB that could not see that changes should have been made 10 mins before their flukey goal, and when he did make the changes, they did appear to be totally wrong - BUT we have to give him a chance and the new players a chance to get up to speed for a whole game. Personnally, and its my opinion only, the time to judge will be at the end of October - though I think if we get beat off Brighton, Swansea and Chelski (which is very possible), I fear the worst for SB - though I still want him to succeed. MON is not the answer for me - I hate is negative, counter attack style of football - and I hate the way he runs up and down the touchline like a demented leprechaun - just talk to some Vile fans. He would also make sure we signed Heskey FFS - that would drive me mad. Moyes or Hughes would be a good shout, though I think both would only go to a "big" club, or use us as a stepping stone, then we would be back to square one. So Cest, I hear what you say and I share your frustration, But take a deep breath, get behind the players and SB, and let the results determine his fate at the end of October. Bart
Tell you what. Lets just all say that Bruce is always right and a fantastic manager and aren't we so so lucky to have him. When he came he told us it was lovely to be able to shop in Harrods. Question is, has he spent the Harrod's money in Lidl? Why no Gardner / O'Shea / Whickham (£8m ffs)? Injuries? Why scant views of Vaughan? Why get in a 22-YEAR-OLD Irishman as ONE FOR THE FUTURE! x
Cyprus - he does have a point along with many other supporters FFS it's not just 2 games or even the derby. Look at his record and tell us there's not a problem. There are 2 better managers out there waiting for a club to go after them. Even Quinny must now realise changes are needed. By the way, another way of looking at our points tally so far is to say 1 from 6 and this includes a home defeat to our closest rivals.
A genuinely spot on post Bart. I agree with every word of it, even the timescale. I think getting onto Cest for having a strong opinion and passion for the club is wrong, it can't be denied that Bruce last 25 games are pretty socking statistically, it can be argued that he deserves time. Scrapping amongst our own is not the way forward, though i fear this will fall on deaf ears.
Why doesnt everybody just wait for 3 months and then them for bruce can either gloat like **** or eat tons of pie either way one or the other is going to happen, personally i hope like hell bruce does well but looking at cesses stats i wont hold my breath I think he could be gone before then only my opinion though syd.
BB how can you call his opinions strong when he was saying this only one defeat ago; "Unless this season is a total disaster, I can see him cementing his position from now on and really making a mark with us and thatâs testimony to his ability to turn us and his management around. Good on you Brucie" Sorry but Cest's opinions are anything but strong.
This! No surprises here like but i'm in 100% aggreement with Cest. People sometimes show too much loyalty imo like....I call it blind faith. I've been called a prick for daring to voice an unpopular opinion but I couldn't give a toss. How anyone can argue with those stats Cest mentioned is beyond me like. Bruce has signed good players but plays them in the wrong positions and how he can play Larsson on the bloody left and leave a goal scoring midfielder sat on his arse on the bench ffs....
I would wager that Cest will calm down, but is hurt from another home derby defeat and therefore his feelings are up a height. Cest contributes a significant amount of well thought out and well written posts, he clearly loves the club deeply, as we all do. I don't agree with him in this instance, 2 games is too soon, but for people to be tearing into a lad who's feelings are running deep after a massive kick in the teeth at the weekend, i feel it's just as unfair as the sack Bruce talk.
We all feel the hurt mate. To call for the managers head after a bad half is very poor form. To suggest the defeat was deliberate is simply pathetic.
