I had a bit of a feeling we might not win this, especialy with the team sheet.

Spearing won't make the grade. Poulsen and Cole are past it. The sooner we sell the latter two the better.

We have such a thin squad, particulary in midfield, it's alarming. We need some serious investment!

Finaly Berbnanidez, you keep saying we are opsessed with our 'cup game against United', yet it's the likes of you who always wum our board. Who's the more obsessed?
You I think. **** off back to your own board- you won't find many Pool fans there. Jockey.

I agree with that,Is it a Northern Europe thing when they use a target man, that they lump it forward and then expect the Big lad to do something creative instead of passing and moving and even if the ball just bounces off the big lad,the runners follow up play by moving into the space that the big fella has then created.Spurs sometimes and this is sometimes do it with Crouch, but they are sometimes inclined to do the former.Man United with Berbatov same thing. What I mean is,when done correctly, there is decent chances created, when done incorrectly, the chances fizzle out,so having the big lad there is a waste.
Personally,I don't think Liverpool will see the best of Andy Carroll until he develops an understanding with Dirk Kuyt.Which I don't think will take that long. The bonus however and this applies to the premiership is that Dirk Kuyt and Luis Suarez have already developed an understanding. When playing as a front two.I hope Kenny leaves Dirk up top with Suarez. He should do, as both terrorised Man United last week.
The Suarez and Carroll combination is one that I'm looking forward to seeing, but I personally think it will be next season added with a number of new additions that we will benefit from those two in tandem. We definitely need two quality wingers, and I hope Kenny has identified this.
The ideas of signing a playmaking midfielder,I'm unsure,I reckon Raul Mereiles is capable of playing this role, his passing is quite good and his movement is excellent. What he needs is an outlet so that he can give and recieve and he can make those runs into dangerous areas.
We're currently a work in progress, and are still short of players.I wasn't expecting miracles just because Kenny is the manager, but the signs look good, that he knows exactly what is good, what is needed and he knows exactly what direction he wants to take us.

I didn't make any predictions because this is a team who beat Arsenal 2-0 and I figured we'd still have a few B teamers playing.

We improved in the 2nd half and you can see that kind of thing every week in the league. I believe Utd have done so on a few occasions.

Kenny set up for safety with Poulsen and Lucas, Carra, not the most prolific overlapper, at RB and Kuyt alone upfront. So a loose penalty under these circumstances was hardly a shock when Meireles was the only real playmaker on the pitch. with Spearing still having more promise than experience. I'm still rooting for Joe Cole but I dunno if he's suffering from being in the B lineup or is just not going to reward patience.

Actually, I did predict to myself there'd be Manc wums back after licking their Sunday sores. Check.

Thanks, don't think I've laughed like that in a long time!

I was always expecting a 0-0 when I seen the team and I even put a few bob on under 2.5 goals at 4/7. It would have ended 0-0 if it wasn't for Soto's stupid tackle, think we'll give them a thumping at Anfield but if they score 1 we're in a lot of trouble.

Citeh look like they're in a bit of bother too but they were unlucky not to score at least one goal, Balotelli coming off because of a grass allergy!!! I can see a few groundsmen ringing up Kiev today to find out what kind of grass they use!

Here's a thing: Ngog wasn't playing last night.

    I'm just saying.

You're right muppet! We could of done with his first touch, ability to hold up the ball, vision and finishing! Bahaha! Worst player bar Nunez in the last ten years at Pool.

Was there not enough first touch, vision, holding up the ball and finishing for you in the Braga game without him?

Of course we might be able to get Voronin back if you really want. Or how about we get an overhyped overnight sensation like Macheda, now out on loan?

What really surprises me about the console generation is that none of them ever seem to bother looking at the development curves. It's probably too much like maths class.

I take it all back, Ngog is the future! I would rather have Macheda or get John Hartson out of retirement.
