agree Ivor but lets be honest here baroni has not exactly set the world alight this season and like sinclair who was great in the championship but not so good in the premiership he may be another player like that so unless we can take him on loan then i would not bother and would rather delve in the market of proven players.....we cant make a mistake in january we must get the right player at all costs and if we can sell a few of our players at the same time then do it.....

 

Ivor- You are spot on RE the Sousa years, it used to drive me crazy with some of the stick he took, his job was to keep us up and the way to do it was by protecting the back four, if you remember when Brenden took over he tried to nigate those tactics but when he saw how exposed we were reverted to a happy medium, i mentioned a few weeks back and i think you mentioned the same earlirer today that Monk is being protected by the midfield, its why we arnt playing further forward IMO i dont like to have a pop at Monk because he is playing at 100% of his ability but he has been caught out and has been lucky not to get sent off a few times this season, we cant leave him exposed to pace at this level.

I admit im wrong here but my view at the time was that Monk,Tate,Serran,Orlandi,Butler and Gower wernt good enough for the championship, nearly all those players are now in the Premier League ! they say the difference between Prem players and Lower league players is that Prem players can perform at a high standard 90% of the time and lower league players cant, on any given day the difference can be levelled by an exceptional performance i think this is what we are getting from Gary and a few others, all credit to them but they arnt going to maintain the standard over the season, hope im wrong like i was when we went o the championship

 

The stick Sousa took ... Lol !! He got half of what he deserved . It made me laugh when some were saying he took us as high as we've ever been at the time , when in reality , he kept us from a playoff spot . Just benching Britton & sending Dobbie out on loan was enough , little on his arrogance toward everyone at the club . He got what he deserved in the long run , chased from a couple of jobs .

 

Think of the transfers Martinez , Sousa & Rodgers brought in & you won't wonder why Huw refused Paulo transfer money & let him go to QPR

It was not Sousa's fault it was that Muppet Jenkins's who stopped us from reaching the premiership with Sousa and martinez, I and others was so frigging happy when Morgan saw the light that he stripped jinks of and decision making when it came to money and backed Brendan last season... There is a god.......lets hope he backs brendan again in january and they send jinks out to talk to the player to persuade them to join us.....see jinks has his uses well that and making the coffee at board meetings.....

 

With Sousa's transfer record at the time , sending Dobbie out on loan , benching Britton ... only a fool would let him make more player decisions . Lopez & Cotterill Lol !!

 

he did the right thing at the time, dobbie was pants for us and could not hit a barn door with a shovel and eventually he was not part of the team then but he had potential and Sousa saw that he needed playing time and thats what happened, he went to Blackpool where they used him off the bench most of the time......Sousa was brilliant for us he knew we could not score many goals and jinks refused him any money to rectify that that he made us strong in defence and it worked a treat......

Are you sure scott ....to me all he has done is hold us back and lose us millions of pounds in transfer deals for refusing to talk to the players about their contracts, he is hated at the liberty and i knew one day the board will see the light....thank god for Morgan and getting us to the premiership because if it was left to jinks we would never be here......I'm afraid you have been conned with many others about skinflint.......still not to worry its all sorted now and we are finally in good hands......just like i knew we would be one day.....

No longer will I rejoice in having a chairman who's steered the club from the bottom division to the top, one who's presided over a much more stable rise through the divisions than those familiar with Tosh's era could have dreamed of. now your talking scott.. I knew you would come around and see it my way........Mr knowledgeable me. there is not much that i dont know about the In's and outs about the swans.....well done .. I dont hate jinks at all..
