Can't wait for lawros prediction for this! I believe we can and will win, would be very happy with a draw though. Don't think the lineup will change tbh. Rodders pace is a must Jwp in the middle for me lallana R Orders L Srl up top. Osvaldo to come on at 60 to slice through their defence like warm camembert.
I think Arsenal's midfield is too good. I don't think Cazorla can just carve us up with ease like he did last year, but if they stay patient and concentrate on just keeping possession in the first half I do think they will wear out the press and eventually find an opening. Saints have been defying my expectations all year though, so I'll be quite happy if they prove me wrong yet again.
"Southampton have done really well so far this season. Manuel Portofino has them playing some nice football. But I think Arsenal will be too much for them with Ozil and Calzone playing"
You left out the bit about Southampton having the meanest defence in the PL and being a huge threat in attack, before suggesting a 2-0 scoreline to Arsenal. That's his style. Never let logic get in the way. Gut feeling is the way to go.
If Man U "have to start winning at some point" surely he could say "saints have to start losing at some point". The guys a ****ing joke.
Indeed he could. His homespun style of false logic, gut instinct and intuition serves him well on occasion. However, I see he's not at the top of his own table. Yet he's the expert. Perhaps Susanna Reid or Nicky Wire are the ones we should have our attention on. Well, Ms Reid anyway.
Dammit, Wilshere's only 50/50 to play against us. We've no chance if he doesn't get into their starting lineup: http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2013/11/20/jack-wilshere-5050-for-arsenal-v-southampton-clash/
I've had my attention on Ms Reid for nearly a decade. lol. Still a classy stunner now I think many are getting carried away with Arsenal's strengths. If anything they are suited for us this term because their strengths are in the attacking mid areas (central and wide) where they will come up against our strengths. Namely Clyne, Shaw, Schneiderlin, Wanyama. We could well be too mobile for their defence and Arteta might get a bit swamped having to help out there. Up front I don't think Giroud will cause too many problems, and some Arsenal fans want him rested saying he is absolutely knackered!!!
I, fran-MLs little camera, promise not to panic if we should lose away to a team currently top of the Premier League. However, whilst I acknowledge this is no disgrace, I can see no reason why we couldn't a) beat them or b) get a draw.
Mauricio just been on Sky...says Arsenal playing the best football in the league at the moment, all he asks is that his players give the best they can and they are, and he was pleased with our players performance for their countries. His usual anodyne comments...never going to be contentious, is he?
We'll win, 2 - 3. They will score two first half goals and begin to coast. At which point Wenger will take off Carzola, Ozil and Giroud. We'll score half way through the second, then an equaliser on the 80th, before a 92nd minute winner. Wenger will blame anyone and anything but himself and his tactics.
Cork is out according to Mauricio on OS. MP says the England trio are undergoing psychological recovery from international duty. I expect that JRod is being allowed to sit on Nicola's knee for a cuddle.
I'm going for a 1-0 win where we play a 4-3-2-1 formation Jrod up front and Davis added to midfield with lambert ready to come on from the bench if needed Boruc Clyne Fonte Lovren Shaw Victor Morgan Davis JWP Lalllana Jrod Subs KD Chambers Maya Cork Lambert Gaston Dani
