Wanyama seems to play better away where he doesn't have people shouting at him. 2, but 4 if you include Clyne and Hooiveld's OGs.
Well we haven't conceded a shedload.. and Thre players will tire in the second half with the first team.. We still have Osvaldo to come on and rescue us with a hat-trick!
Pretty even half bar Artur's moment of madness. Just get the feeling that Rickie isn't really at the races today. Wouldn't mind seeing Dani on for him second half. We can pull this back. It'll be hard, but we can......
Well, we're still in this. To be fair Arsenal have been the better side. Only Rodriguez really doing anything in an attacking sense.
Thought defensively we have been pretty solid, Wanyama is winning anything that comes near him and has been superb. We quite obviously seem to be roughing up Giroud a bit, and I think he's been fairly quiet. The less said about the goal the better, I think you get the rough with the smooth with Boruc, I expect him to pull off an unbelievable sometime soon. Although I have to say I really hate it when players celebrate tap-ins like they've just scored a 40 yard screamer. Attacking wise we have been a little quiet, Rodriguez has been excellent at trying to pull us forward and looks full of confidence. They seem to be very effectively stifling Lallana and Lambert, although I expect them to come more into the game later as Arsenal tire, and I think this is the key to us getting a little more attacking edge.
Well... I guess when you have Artur Boruc, you know you're going to give up some goals like that from time to time. TBF, Arsenal should probably be 1-0 anyway. The defense is doing a good job (bar the mistake), but Arsenal had the better of us. On the bright side, Wanyama is having a fairly awesome game.
Could be more points for Boruc to win us back. Lambert's positioning is getting on my tits. Wanyama has been killing it.
It's a damn shame. Get a grip, Arthur! Wanyama's pocket got pretty crowded today, with Wilshere, Cazorle and Ozil joining all the other players so far
Well we've looked okay in patches but haven't really created too much ourselves (is it me or has Lambert been caught offside a lot more than usual? He's definitely having an off day). Boruc's brainfart aside, we've defended pretty well and Wanyama in particular has looked excellent. Arsenal are attacking very well though, look dangerous and will likely continue to create chances. So far I'd say Arsenal are the best team we've played this season.
So, these points that Artur promised to win back for us after the Stoke game, any sign of them in the second half, do you think?
Indeed. Boruc was available to us because he is legitimately an insane person. There are many advantages to having an insane person as a keeper, but there are also downsides.
