Anyone remember that guy who claimed he was going to buy Man U? Micheal Knighton, I think. Playing ' keepy uppy' at Old Trafford and didnt have a pot to p*Â¥s in. Hope this Fernandes is not the same
It was actually £20 million with the promise of £10 million investment in players. Pretty much what most fans think we need to invest today! And that was 22 years ago!
Bernie, Flav and Paladini are totally to blame for all the problems we've gone through throughout their 'reign', who else can be blamed? Perhaps Mittal as well, to have the country's richest man on the board and be in the position we find ourselves today speaks volumes about the egos involved, the club has become a rich man's battleground whilst the team goes to hell in a handcart. To top it all we are now on the brink of a takeover led by someone who is a mate of the Goons and financially not in the same league. Still too many question marks to make us feel secure yet.
Well said sooper. We have two billionaires (err...not you flabio, you're just the poor tag-along) and still find ourselves in this mess.....a wealthy owner means squat. Financial backing is important but we need a guy who likes football and really wants to have a crack at the big time. In my mind the goons and mittal have had their chance. Hopefully Fernandes is the one...
