You can't sack a successful manager, in the middle of a good run and liked by supporters of that club and of other clubs, and expect to get an easy ride in the media. If it is a little worse than usual (I don't think it is, but others clearly do) it's probably more to do with Adkins being English than any particular love, hatred or opinion of any sort about Cortese.
