I fear I will never understand the draw bias - weren't low numbers better yesterday? (cue rant from Nass ........................)
Ron: great shout mate. I too was put off the first winner due to yesterdays draw bias, maybe the fastest horses were all drawn low yesterday! Very annoying, great ride from Phil though
David Simcock thought the race may come too early for his horse, ran a nice race though. Let's hope was right about his 2 in the next
Gamilati got there doing everything well but that side never looked like getting near- not happy with the ground either. Backed Markazzi in the next from a good draw (looks that way, but like Odddy I am confused )
"Morning all! Passing a bit of info ive had from a lad from work. Yorkies has already put it up as one of his selections as I told him about it last night. SMARTY SOCKS in the 3.05 at York. Lad at work was given 3 and 2 have obliged so far at 14/1 and 11/4 (they went off at 12/1 and 15/8), TIP TOP GORGEOUS was the one yesterday. Anyway, i'll be backing it each way cos with my luck it'll get beaten a nose if I back it to win! 10/1 with William Hill at minute." Missed the bloody break again! Will take second tho at 11s! (what I got!)
What a superb training performance by Alan Jarvis to have that one ready 161 days after returning from Meydan! Tia: Unlucky, looked the winner all day long, possibly drawn on the wrong side, ground looks faster on the other side, nice run though mate
415: Pollys Mark must go well with Hughes back in the saddle. 450: Have taken a chance that 1st time blinkers work the oracle with Plato from the in form Sir Henry yard. This colt is a nightmare of a ride, plays up going to post and then never settles in the race but still seems to run good races! With a little luck the blinkers may possibly do the trick! Worth an EW punt at 12s
