Jayram - a reasonable assessment however i would have to take issue about the 8-2 and the 'reserve' side In the team that day were; Chesney Kosielny Ramsey Rosicky Arshavin Walcott RVP all proven 1st team players the only reserves were Jenkinson Traore Coquelin Djourou It was the managers failure to adequately replace key players which cost us that embarassing defeat and probably our chances of a top 4 spot this season.
I think that team would have given Utd a game. We might still have lost, Utd are on great form, but we wouldn't have been demolished. I think the Utd game demonstrated that we lacked depth, soon after Wenger strengthened the squad
He has played 4 games, half as a substitute and this was after having the summer off for the first time in ages. Of course he is going to get less injuries at that time! No need to get angry at him just because he doesn't play for us anymore.
Szczesny - yes Koscielny - no (Mertesacker and Vermalen will be starters) - agree that PM wasnt there then but we have moved on. Ramsey - no (Arteta and Wilshere will start ahead of him) Rosciky - no (behind Ramsey) Arshavin - possibly, though i suspect Walcott and Gervinho are ahead of him Walcott - yes RVP - yes Depends on your definition of 'reserves' then but it is stretching credulity to claim Koscielny, Ramsey, Rosicky and Arshavin are reserves when they have been fairly regularly in the starting line up for over a season, Ramsey even played in the 2-0 against Man U last season. Mertesacker, Arteta and Santos weren't even at the club as you admit so can't be counted for thet game.
i know how to get the gooners winning, there was a cart horse who played for liverpool and was useless then he moved to chelsea and the carthorse appears to have blotted his copybook at chelsea, he may be just the player you are looking for in january. seriously torres woud come good for the arsenal and score goals
Seriously Jayram thats ****ing clueless . Did we really concede 7 illegitimate goals because of the ref? Jesus christ.
Unfortunately it is difficult to counter this sort of post. There is only a negative, no indication of what IS good enough. So presumably only 38 wins a season by 3 clear goals whilst keeping a clean sheet and allowing no chances will do. Victory therefore in all 3 cups by a similar margen, larger for non-premier teams. I presume other teams also have fans like this, but we certainly seem to have more than our fair share of them. It's a good job all fans aren't similar, because only 5% of all supporters would not be just short of suicide every season and we would need 380 new players every year, as the entire squads of the 19 teams that didn't win would all have to be replaced; they would clearly be not good enough - ever. With the lack of understanding of what it takes to win the premiership coupled with quite outstanding arrogance to think that his/her opinion accounts for anything compared to Wenger's experienced and qualified knowledge, it is amazing that the OP supports (I use the word loosely) any football team, let alone one which is trying to win against the odds.
