2- 0. But we played really well. Ian Rush scored, following an earlier Des Hamilton goal. Rocky Rocastle RIP, played for us.
Only just seen this info, I am absolutely livid with the complete & utter morons who have decided this!!!!! Booked a hotel room ( with free cancellation mind) last week for my son & I. We have never been to The Emirates so was looking forward to our 1st visit! so bollox to the idiots who have decided this! Went to the ticket office on Thursday morning for WBA (A) tickets & enquired about Arsenal tickets then with no success. Whoever has made this decision has just probably halved City's support for the game! Absolute dickheads!
You booked a hotel before the details of the game were announced, ignoring the generally accepted view that this would end up being a televised game for all of the obvious reasons? Honestly?
My sentiments exactly. Moving a football match from a 3pm on a Saturday is ****ing unheard of. What is going on? The Allams are behind this no doubt in my mind.
Have to say i agree, anyone booking hotels or travel before the k/o was announced is frankly a twerp. The date and time for the fixture hasnt been changed, it was never announced as 3pm Saturday.
Fully agree, all for a nominal four or five figure broadcasting free as well, greedy allam bastards. To the op, I hope your free cancellation is indeed free cancellation. When I looked at hotels are be there for the cup final I noticed many were advertising 'free cancellation' on booking.com etc but the reality was very much different when you looked into it.
I think it is also worth noting that we play on the Thursday prior to this (1st January) so it being a late kick-off on a Sunday may increase the chance of some first team players playing. I for one hope that Bruce does go for it to help repair his slightly diminished reputation this season.
If you read my post correctly, my intentions were to give my son & I a little belated xmas treat. I was driving down so no travel costs and the hotel has confirmed cancellation with no cost. My point is, now the time & date has scuppered any chance of a possible decent away turn-out. I probably wasn't the only one to try this! Just no consideration given to fans traveling for an estimated 10 hour round trip. I shouldn't be surprised by your comment judging by the usual ****e you spout on here, you spineless prick!
Is this game on BBC? Just trying to figure out if the bar I go to on Sunday will be showing it or if it'll be a case of fishing around the Internet?
