Giroud wouldn't have scored Poldi's goals, no matter how simple they were. That was striker's instinct, something Giroud seriously lacks.
Dean got a call from the FA at half time. "Keep it up and we will let you hang!" He didn't give Wigan **** in the second half. He knew he was cornered.
good for a laugh . good old DL http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/198434-The-Chelsea-Spurs-and-Arsenal-thread/page12
**** sakes. Who is going to replace him? Jack still looks off the pace and is clearly nowhere near his best, while Diaby is injured. Coquelin? Maybe even Vermaelen.
cheers lads, been good crack the last couple of days, we wont lay down for the spuds on sunday, we owe you one
Interesting fact (if i've read it correctly). If we beat Newcastle 2-1, and Chelsea draw their game 0-0, we may have to have a playoff for 3rd place. Apparently the head to head results don't matter, and we would have exactly the same goal difference, goals for and against etc.
Podolski is brilliant playing at CF. He wasn't very mobile today, but very lethal in and around the box, as we've always known him to be. Keep in mind he is still only operating at about 70% fitness, due to that lingering ankle injury. Hopefully he gets that minor surgery out of the way in May and is ready for the start of the season in August. Would love for a healthy Podolski to compete with Giroud for our starting CF slot.
We should definitely go with the hot hand Podolski, but I fear Wenger will opt for his countryman instead.
poldi kept on drifting out to the left during the game, looking to link up with gibbs. rosicky was fairly ineffective. bearing that in mind, giroud up front, podolski left, walcott right and santi in the attacking midfield role. glad ramsey got a goal. his recent performances have deserved one. he's not the most technical player or the best passer, but he is definitely our most hard-working player and that counts for a lot in the premier league.
