One thing I will say, if a foreign manager like ETH wins a game this way. Its 'negative', 'dire' 'boring' .. ..If some old British dinosaur like Moyes does it, it's a 'tactical masterclass'.

West Ham to be fair to then have blocked absolutely everything. They’ve defended extremely well and had a good defensive structure all game.
FT. 0-2. When you defend like clowns, and waste so many attacking situations and chances on goal that we did, then you deserve to lose. Not much more I can say. A thoroughly disappointing night and we were let down by Mikel's team selection and our attackers (+ Zinchenko). I don't think it's a coincidence that all our attacking players' numbers are down significantly. There's clearly an issue with our style and approach. Arteta has to sort this out. I don't think this game told us anything new about our shortcomings, but we're clearly not built to win a league with these current players. We need some serious activity in January and that's realistically not going to happen. Try to consolidate a top-3 finish and go for both the FA Cup and CL. You never know what can happen in the cups.
The only thing in our favour is that every other team is being a bit ****e this year too so top 3 should be a given. League might be won by the lowest pts total for a long time. And whoever wins it will have been bang average for a considerable of time this season. Short term Liverpool look far more likely to fight city than us. Longterm they're screwed with VVD and Salah getting so old. We've spent so much money so it really pisses me that we're still so obviously deficient up front. LB is annoying but we DID fix that with Timber and that's just a tad unfortunate (doubly so with Tomi out too). Even Havertz is looking the part now for the #8 and we missed him today. But the striker situation has been ridiculous for years. And my god Kudus would have been useful in our front line...he'd probably start for any of the premier league teams wouldn't he?

I've just watched the first goal again and it's not done much to stop my anti-Zinchenko agenda. Why is he running into that space when Gabriel has control of the situation? . If he wasn't up Gabriel's ass, Gabriel clears the ball away from danger with no issue, but because Zinchenko decided to run out of position to challenge for a ball that wasn't his, Gabriel hits the clearance into Zinchenko, which causes the deflection and the chaos leading to Soucek's opener. Please, I do not want to see this prick starting on Sunday against Fulham. He is going to cost us again. Play Kiwior instead.
