And to think I got criticised for not re-newing my season ticket. Looking at this dross for so many seasons now, I feel vindicated.
In 2009 we bottled it in 2 cups in the space of 2 weeks. In 2010 we bottled our league challenge by terrible form starting from February. In 2011 we massively bottled our title challenge again, lost in the CC final, and got dumped out of Europe by Barca a few weeks later. In 2012 we got dumped out of Europe and the Fa Cup in the space of 5 days, we didnt even challenge for the title. In 2013, **** knows what happened that year. In 2014, we challenged for the title, and royally bottled it again, getting our asses beat 5-1, 6-0, 3-0, and 6-3. In 2016, we bottled it again. Anyone see a pattern?
The most damning thing about this team is how low on confidence they look, how they seem to have no faith in the players around them or the game plan. As a result our attack is stilted, cumbersome and easy to stop and our defence is shockingly unorganised and crumbles under pressure. Imo wenger needs to go in the summer as this team needs to be galvanised by new direction at the top and fresh blood (read quality) brought into the team. I don't know who will/can replace him, it may well be messy but it's the end of an era - such a shame it couldn't have ended on a high note
comn .. Di Matteo managed 1 year !!! is that the best you can bring in to prove me wrong?!!! GG spend 9 years in a club and that stands for a record you can compare.. 9 years is a lot of time AW may had played some fancy football but he benefited greatly from a solid organized team at the back with alike of Keown, Adams, seaman and Dixon, Bould and Winterburn that he inherited from GG.. the more AW started to change and play around, the more your lost that solidity at the back and lost all character .. no wonder why you never win any title since those players retired
This is why I said it doesn't matter if we have world-class players in the team or not because the players are doomed to fail under Wenger's leadership (or lack of). Bottom line is - this culture of accepting mediocrity at the club will not shift until the root cause of the problem goes away. And that root cause is Wenger.
Just coming home from game. We only have ourselves to blame as we should have buried Watford in first half but we are too timid in attack. If we had played the whole game like we did in the last 10 minutes then maybe different result but team have to take the blame and no leadership on the pitch to whip up the performance #wengeritstimetogo
If you needed more proof that Wenger is deluded, look no further than this: "Our fantastic run has come to an end on a day where we felt that our performance deserved a win. Credit to Watford, they created few chances but took them all. It's sad because we gave everything. We deserved to win? LOL what ****ing performance was he watching? Wow, this man will kill us.
Pie on my face from you, arse87? Enjoy ruling and trolling your little forum. You are a hero to gunners everywhere.
Nope not from me. From wenger and his selfie lovers. They throw pie on your face every week. Every week you look more silly supporting Wenger and trying to defend these losers. Pieeeeee in your face! Go celebrate your 4th place trophy.
****e today. We should have been 2 or 3 up at HT. I didn't think we played badly, but we just ran out of ideas when we got anywhere near the oppo penalty area. We paid for it today. This team needs a clinical striker and a ****ing rocket up their arses.
how should we have been 3 nil up at half time when we only had 2 shots? Both off target I might add. I must have missed what you watched. Us creating clear cut chances one after the other in that half which yielded zero shots on target.
This team needs a new manager. A new striker. A new defender. A new winger. And a new central midfielder.
This team needs a rocket up their ass. Youd think they already have one considering we only won 1 of our last 6 games. And 4 of our last 13..... they are overpaid bottlers.
No I can give you hundreds of examples like that. When someone says 'most successful manger' it is taken to mean the manager who has won the most trophies. (Which in this case is Wenger. Not Graham.) That's really a myth. Considering 1. He built just as good a defence in 2001-2004 with Campbell, Toure, Lauren, Ashley Cole, etc.. Also I would argue although they didn't win the Champions League the 2004 side was still the best team we have seen in the EPL soo far. Wenger was great. He just isn't anymore.
If you want top 4 and the odd cup then wenger is still your man. But if you want to go places and win the best trophies then he is far from your man. He would not survive at any elite club. Wenger is respected in this game. But nobody fears him or his teams.
We have wasted and pissed away so many years with Wenger. The man is at least 5 years way past his sell date. We have also lost a lot of quality managers because of him like klopp and anchelotti. He will most likely stay 1 more year. One more year of the same misery, bottle jobs, embarrasments, and underachievements.
