There's been some classic games recently haven't there? The 4-4, the 5-2, the other 5-2...I'm hoping for a good one today.

I am a little concerned about the injuries. With Ozil, Ramsey, Gibbs & Giroud out that's a big part of the spine of the team missing. Big performances from Wilshere, Cazorla, Pod & Theo are needed to compensate.

I hope Giroud is fit enough to make the bench & come on for the last 20 if needed to give height & presence.

I'm half expecting a bit of a flat performance... Players not being overly fussed about the FA cup and all, losing 1-0 or something like that. And if that happens, wouldn't be the end of the world. We've enough games already.

That mentality can keep us without trophies for quite a few more seasons to come. Fact is despite leading the league, the FA cup and league cup are/were our best chances to win a trophy this season.

The FA cup is important. We might console ourselves with excuses like that if we drop out, but every team that wants to win things will have a lot of games to play in a season.

Very surprised there isn't more talk on this today! Where is everyone!? It's a big game, against the locals, and the winner will be a step closer to that elusive next trophy.

Fabianski, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Monreal, Arteta, Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla, Gnabry, Walcott.

Arsenal subs: Viviano, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Flamini, Ozil, Podolski, Ju-Young Park

    Why rest Mert, FFS?

Agreed, let's get some conversation going!

    I'll add my team:

    -------------Flappy----------
    Jenkinson--Mert--Verm--Monreal
    --------Flamini--Wilshere-----
    Walcott-----Cazorla------Rosicky
    ------------Podolski

Subs: Sczc/Viviano, Kosc, Sagna, Gnabry, Arteta, Miyaichi, Ozil

If Giroud is recovered at all from illness then he needs to make the bench. Wouldn't be against seeing one of Ryo or Gnabry get a start either.

With the provisional squad thats been named we will have a strong team but i do expect some of the back-up guys to get starts today.

Ha, just as i posted my team!

    Ok, so it looks like:

    -------------Flappy-----------
    Sagna-------Kosc-----Verm-----Monreal
    ---------Arteta-----Wilshere-------
    Gnabry-------Rosicky/Cazorla-----Rosicky/Cazorla
    ------------------Walcott------------

Good to see Walcott get a chance through the middle!

    Fabianski
    Sagna Vermaelen Koscielny Monreal
    Arteta Wilshere
    Rosicky
    Gnabry Walcott Cazorla

That seem like the likely lineup?

They've gone for pace up front. The midfield is solid, the defense lacks height - which may be exploited by Ade.
How strong is that Spurs team? Are they first-choice players? I've no idea who their regular choices are at present.

Vermaelen and Kos together are always capable of having shockers. No idea why we rested Mert. We have NINE days until the next game.

On my way to the game... Thanks SuperJ for the team, Wenger has sacrificed this game IMHO.

If he wants to give Vermaelen game time, then rest Kos.

That must be the most feather-weight "front 5" we've ever fielded.

    Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla, Gnabry, Walcott.

Wtf lol, we've given some back-up guys a chance as it's a domestic cup game, all teams do this. It's still a decent team.
