Did you quote the wrong post fella? No fear mate, show no fear. You may not get a reaction from the players, they may give the same old ****. But do you want to go down just as bad as them? Or do you want to go down fighting with you head held high? One thing you can guarantee on Sunday 100% is that you, as a fan, leave that ground proud, with dignity and with you head held high regardless of the result. Knowing full well you as an individual gave everything from the stands. You have to uphold your end of the bargain even if the team don't. It's a matter of self respect. The perks are that by being true to yourself, if enough of you take that mentality in, you give the team an extra boost and turn that ground into a cauldron.
Courtois is the perfect keeper as far as i'm concerned so it's pointless me going into it. We have different definitions.
Well yeah we do. I think by definition the Premier League cant be full or world class keepers. In my eyes there cant be that many world class players in 1 position.
I've had to be, We've been in a relegation battle ourselves and I've been banging my head against a brick wall in regards to our home atmosphere, but we all got on board in the end(against Soton and Leicester) and we played our part in the run that saved us.
Courtois = the perfect Keeper World Class De Gea Lloris Cech Pantillimon Hart Begovic Very Good Keepers Mig Fabianski Forster Adrian Guzan Schmeichel Krul Ospina Howard That's the way I see it anyway.
Changed from 2 points to 3 Oops! Thinking about it, it is surprising how relatively recent the change was. Jimmy Hill was the one who originally floated the idea. It didn't make much difference the first few seasons who were champions or relegated. I think we were one of the first, if not the first to be affected by the change.
The way I see it is world class means top 3 in their position in the world. If you asked anyone in Spain, Italy or Germany to name world class keepers you wouldnt get a single vote for Pantillimon, Hart or Begovic.
OT but while you're on, thoughts on this? http://www.football-italia.net/66744/sunderland-must-buy-alvarez
World class means ability to play for pretty much any side I'd say. Only Courtois and De Gae meet that criteria imo. Lloris possibly. Hart definitely used to be but seems to have gone backwards. The likes of Pantymilliwillion, Begovic, Mignolet etc are all decent keepers but definitely not world class.
It's bollocks. It's the same future fee stipulation that any overseas loan has to contain. Nowt stopping us offering him a 1 year contract worth 50quid a week to break the deal down. These loan deals a full of loopholes for both club to excerse if they don't want the player. It originated from the mirror. He's a very good player who was unlucky with injury and played out of position by Poyet. He's one of the slowest players I've ever seen but was played on the wing, too slow to beat a fullback on the outside which led to him being too predictable by constantly cutting in.
