Poor again tonight. We really need to try something new at home coz this slow passing style just doesn't work. You can see what we're gonna do from a mile off.
Nervy anxious start,not using our pace in the side yet,Southamption will be pleasantly surprised at the amount of defending they have had to do.
So many creative players but our only tactic seems to be to lump the ball in the box into a striker who is hardly known for his aerial ability. We should be doing far better than this - Southampton are completely depleted in midfield but they look comfortable.
We're going to be needing to do much much much much much more attacking wise if we want to get something from this game.
Would like to see Ox and Sanchez/Cazorla released down the wings. I think the key to unlocking this defence is to get some balls down the flanks in behind the fullbacks.
Just back home from playing 6 a side for the first time in over a year. I was throwing up inside ten minutes! No-one tells you when your younger that by your mid twenties you feel like an old fart who has to consciously keep track of your fitness otherwise you struggle to run for five minutes! Still 0-0 so hopefully I haven't missed too much excitement!
What's with all the long balls and crosses into the Box?? Forster is just collecting everything. It's a weird tactic considering we are not playing Giroud.
