Even if Diaby passes fit, I wouldn't start him, just as a precaution. It's best to give him a rest after he just had a small knock. I'd even rest him for the mid-week European game, to insure we have a fully fit Diaby for the game at City.
Ramsey must NOT start this game... rather start le Coq in midfield. I am starting to buy into Wenger's idea of having great tackling midfielders, rather then an out and out DM... I think le Coq will do well against the Saints, he is good on the ball and they will try to play football I feel.
I have an idea. Drop Cazorla into a deeper position alongside Arteta (both of them can tackle), and play the fat russian meerkat in front of them and behind Giroud. it's an attacking lineup, and it means we don't have to start Coq, who isn't ready, or Ramsey, who'll never be ready.
I'll be there this sat with the missus. She's paying her debt watching the footie with me after I had to go 'shopping' with her. *shudders.
