I think Leicester winning the league would be the biggest achievement in Premier/Division 1 history. If we don't do it then i'd love them to do it. Also Ranieri is a class act.

To be fair, Lee Mason was an absolute cock tonight. How Romeu didn't get booked after probably 8 bad tackles on Sanchez, to then book Coquelin after his first tackle ....

Mason was shocking, but don't let that detract from the real problems that we are facing at this moment in time. We had more than enough quality and chances to put that game to bed and for the 4th game in a row, we have not won in the league.

I'm not. I'm just saying that Mason was a cock. Wenger had every right to pull him up.

When I first read his comment I skim read it and got exactly what he meant without noticing many errors, on actually trying to read it I can see why your having difficulty lol

    Edit:

Translated and jazzed it up for you:

As I wrote on the saints site, had we lost 1-0 I wouldn't have felt aggrieved. Do those of us who love the EPL a favour and win the league.

We might only be five points behind, but the performances shows a team that is starting to hit the wall, just like they do every season, and when we hit these slumps it tends to see us crash out of the title race and fall into the race for a top four spot, too many players are starting to under perform now, and maybe they have simply played too many games, over the last ten years when this happens, things only get worse, we see the same **** every season, ffs.

I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong and to see Wenger with the PL trophy above his head come May, but I am just tired of seeing him doing the same **** every time around this period of the season, why will this season be any different? What will Wenger actually do to change things around? The man is so stuck in his ways it's unreal. It's Groundhog Day every season with this club, and looking at the table tells you all you need to know, we are back in fourth ****ing place, we are sliding down the table, when we are meant to be surging and building belief for the final part of the season.

A point against a very good Southampton side might be important in a title win, it's the crazy ones that you lose that's been the problem for you in the past.

I'd take that point and move on.

Not having a dig but how is it the weakest PL in years?
I think it's the strongest...there's not one team (or 2 at most) that are way ahead of the rest.
4 teams can win the prem title in early February...surely that's a real sign of a strong league.

I do agree with with your optimism ....Arsenal have gone from 2 points clear at the top to 4th and 5 points off the top in just 4 games...they could well reverse this in the next 4...so the race is far from over for you lot

It's an excuse by some fans and wrong, the league is what it is there are still big teams with lots of money and there are quality players. Whoever wins it should not have some throwing a label at it like that.

How many of the teams at the top can you say have played great football for prolonged periods this year? City - meh, a few times. Arsenal - meh, a few times.

It's the most competitive league in years, but the strength at the top is nowhere near what it once was.

Agree the league is very competitive this year but you can always rely on the Gunners to have a slump & screw it up. Bet Barca are quaking!!

Yes the league is competitive and the overall standard of the teams outside of the top teams have improved. But the top teams have also got worse this season, Chelsea and manure have been terrible and City has been under-par. We've been good in patches but failed to maintain consistency. There isn't a number one team because all the top teams aren't playing well enough to be considered the best, but have the players and ability to be. Next season when Pep comes in, this will change.

Leicester is probably the best overall team this season, but there isn't much between them and the rest of the chasing pack.

Quite agree. This is a road we have travelled many times over the years. Much promised but little delivered other than 4th place (as if this is the holy grail). Don't know how much more I can/want to take.
