It would have made it easier for them to start with. Arteta today had the ball and he kept spinning for about 10 seconds because he saw NOTHING upfront.
In an ideal world, with a better board of directors, our team tonight would have looked like this (excluding injuries) Lloris Sagna Mertesacker Vermaelen Gibbs Arteta Wilshere Cazorla Hazard Van Persie Mata If only our owners cared........
I'd have no problem with losing if we were generally not a good team. BUT... We would be up there with Barca, Bayern and co if we STOPPED selling our top players. But we've done this season after season. How can any Arsenal fan not be frustrated with this? WE create stars and sell them on for a profit. We're not behind the likes of United, Chelsea because they out spend us. We're poor because we keep on selling our best players. It's not rocket science. It's an insult to the loyal fans. And this trend will continue, with players jumping ship because they see there is a lack of ambition (or in some cases, money). Just imagine if we still had Flamini, Hleb, Van Persie, Fabregas, Nasri, Clichy, Adebayor, Henry, Song. Are you telling me that is not a team that would've been on par with Europe's best? Imagine if Barca had sold Iniesta, Xavi, Messi, Pedro, Pique, Busquets after they each had a good season, do you think they'd have achieved all that success under Pep? They sold their best players too but not at the rate we have... and guess what, they would have adequate replacements too (perhaps bar Eto).
Tbf we had Ervihno playing as striker for most of the game, Giroud makes smarter runs than him and by the time Giroud was on Arteta was all but out of energy On the bright side hearing Gibbs and Oxo will be back against QPR from Ja606
We will spend in January. Gervinho is ****ing off to the ACON (is that good or bad?) and we will only have Giroud upfront. Unless Wenger and co want to shoot themselves in the foot, they will HAVE to spend. And a top class forward is required.
Is it worth getting a certain frenchman back on loan again? He can clearly still do a job, and he did a job for us last season too.
On qualifying out of this group. I reckon sadly, we are in for another defeat to Schalke, so that will still leave us on six points and with two games left. Beat Montpellier at home and get a result away to Olympiacos. 10 point should do it.
Yes but then you had Henry Pires and Vieira. That was a great team. Now Arsenal is just a good team and you cannot expect to beat Shalke. The players dont deserve such harsh words. They will still win against Qpr.
There isn't a single player in our squad that i like seeing play out wide, thats where we need to spend as well
Think we'll somehow beat Shalke, Beat Olympiakos and Draw vs Montpellier 14 Points. Don't know if it will be enough to top the group
Like I said before, we do not even need to go back to the likes of Henry and co to expect results against teams like Schalke at home. With players like Fabregas,RVP and Nasri we used to steam roller teams at home in the CL.
If Giroud doesn't offer more soon, i think it may be worth either recalling Bendtner or Park, or even giving Chamakh a go. Or failing all else, put Verm as a CF. At least he makes the forward runs, and he played for Ajax, which means he can play almost any position.
Giroud has done more when he's played than either Chamakh or Park... Bendtner would refuse to come back
Wenger should say to Gervinho " look son , you got 3 games to show me why i shouldnt send your ass to Blackburn Rovers in exchange for a tin of corned beef , that is all ."
Sorry, but i disagree. As SJW said, there were numerous times today when Arteta would run in circles with the ball, because no forward runs were being made, so nobody was available.
