You're right that just sounds stupid. Why would we want our best player and top scorer so far this season to tail off ? It makes no sense whatsoever.
It was a strong Napoli team, they where unbeaten this season so far and beat Dortmund. We did well to handle them so comfortably.
I'm not talking about Bendtner... Ramsey is playing at a World class level, but it will end eventually, Flamini and Arteta are our strongest pairing though, if you don't factor in form.
Let's keep in mind that Dortmund were down to 10 players, played away, napoli had hiquain on the pitch (who scored I believe) ... last night dortmund were all over marseille plus these guy slipped up against napoli and cant afford to do it again. Napoli had good players on the pitch but dortmund has some great players - players I would want us to sign (ie reus). That game will be totally different. Now that is a real test! However, I am not taking anything away from our performance last night. It was superb!
Both of you guys are right. We have more than enough quality to successfully rotate our midfield and a midfield partnership of Arteta and Flamini is a very good one. But we have Cazorla coming back (slots in at left wing), so we'll in effect have only 2 central spots available. Against bigger attacking teams, i would play Flamini as he provides extra defensive cover and reads the game very well. So do Arteta and Ramsey, but i think Flamini has a slight edge here, But in terms of creativity, the other two out-perform him. At the end of the day, it's horses for courses. Isn't it funny how we're not talking about Wilshere that much, it just shows how we are in a good quandary.

For me Giroud was our MOTM last night. His hold up play was terrific. He may not be a Wordl Class finisher but if he can play like that on a regular basis we could be very effective. He showed strength, never stopped running and had a few sublime little moments of link up play.
Think ozil was the best players on the pitch but in that dominant first half Giroud, Ramsey and ozil were the best thing on the pitch. Everyone dropped off in the 2nd half.

No sir, it's a win! It counts as an official win, not a draw, when it's a cup game, don't matter if it ends 1-1, you win on penalties, and it goes down as W. Stop being negative.
We won the game fair and square after extra time and penalties, so it's a win. I wish you wouldn't be so pedantic about it
