How has he ****ed up? We haven't even played yet! Also, wasn't there talk of Podolski playing with an injury? That could be why he's been rested for what is an 'easier' match.

Because certain players must be thinking "why do i make an effort when the manager is just going to reinstall his favourites anyway." You pick a team based on form, not your favourites, it's management 101.
Or maybe he doesnt want to overplay Jenkinson and keep him hungry for a place in the team? When young players play regularly they tend to get a little complacent. And with a solid option of Sagna i see no problem rotating the two of them. But i also agree Jenkinson has played very well whenever he is given the opportunity.
I'm hoping the team are really up for this game. Flappy and Kosc are both retaining there placesin the team and i think we will be solid again at the back today. Hopefully our players going forward can find an early goal or two and make this game a straight forward win. Gervinho will need to get in behind there defence and play the walcott role which has been of great effect when playing Reading in both our games earlier in this season.
Based on from Gervihno has been better seeing as he's looked lively recently, while Podoslki hasn't played in a while. BTW, Podolski has played the most times as LW so the "favorites" argument there is mute.
