At the end of the day we didnt play well but I would have taken the win before kick off so cant complain. Giroud is getting to the point were I would even consider giving Chamakh another chance. Prefer other options though like Podolski or even Theo in the middle to see if they can deliver goals which Giroud isnt.

We didn't, we needed a goal. No proof whatsoever the red won us the game. And no point saying the guy who got sent off would have been on the end of it if he had been on the pitch, because anything could have happened.
....and that's all that matters...it's the only "trophy" our board really wants...I think a season outside the top 4 might be the jolt to the system required to get us out of this mediocre slumber
Against United our team needs to be: ---------------Szcezny------------------- Sagna--Mertesacker--Koscielny--Vermaelen ----------Arteta-------Wilshere----------- Walcott--------Arshavin-----------Cazorla ---------------Podolski------------------- Vermaelen at LB would help against United's wingers, and Cazorla can cover him better than most. Arshavin needs to play, and he needs to be in the middle. We don't want an out-and-out striker against United's centre backs. Instead we need Walcott and Podolski linking up with Arshavin, and Walcott getting into the middle to burst through.
Giroud hasn't had much service but overall he has been decent. He links up play well with little knocks on and one touch passes, he wins the ball in the air but also on the ground, he is clearly a very strong player. His movement is good and he makes some great little runs, i think he will link up well with Walcott. He did well to get to Arshavins cross, he got over his man and hit a strong header on target, it was a good save which we then scored after - i dont think thats a reason to have a go at him. He also had a good shot today and had anyone been following on into the box it would have created a goal for us.

I'm worried about the team. I know we won, but i'm not letting that gloss over the fact that we were poor again, for the 3rd game in a row. If we don't improve sharpish, we're going to get shredded by ManUre.
