Very impressive display, you can see that they are playing the 'Arsenal' way. They even threw in a defensive mistake for good measure <whistle> In all seriousness though that looks like a very talented bunch of young players and if they keep playing that way then one or two of them have every chance of making it at the top level.

It would be interesting to see how them lads would fare against an actual premier league team , like West Ham .

Daniel Crowley and Zelalem are certs to make it. Akpom has a chance as well, but we never seem to produce a decent CF who has actually made it at the club.

Yeah Dan Crowley looks like he's going to be a big talent, he's certainly got the raw ingredients. It's good that he's at Arsenal because unlike Chelsea or City he will be given a chance on the big stage based on his talent, rather than being kept out by mega bucks superstars bought in.

I'm putting you on ignore. I simply have no time for your ignorance and bigotry. Trying to discuss anything with you is pointless. You reduce everything to a personal attack, post off topic continuously to platform your offensive views, and try to reduce everything to a kindergarten level of insulting each other.

If you think it is OK to post that you believe women are inferior to men in all cases, and you only like watching them for sex, then you ARE a sexist.

If you did the same thing with race, you would be picking up a perma-ban on here. You can rail about being PC or it being personal opinion all you like, but me calling you out on it, isn't the problem here.

Some of those 16 year olds, yes. Crowley did display 'brilliant quality' with his performance against the Posh.

I watched Arsenal youth playing Liverpool youth in a cup game at the Emirates a few years back and they played some great stuff. They also stuffed the Pool too.

Didn't we just swipe him from Villa's youth set up at the start of the season? Could well be wrong there and I've nowt against bringing the best young players in but it's not like we've nurtured him for years!

...Good scouting mind ;)

We have had that debate before. I don't know what age you have to snag young players at for them to be considered youth players, but it seems like we have determined that there is a better success rate picking up players when they are over 16, then trying to pick them out at 12.

From my perspective, I don't think that is a mark against the youth set up, it just means that we are being smart and going with what works, as long as the rules allow it.

There is still a lot of development and teaching to be done from 16 onwards and if that is what we are good at, then let's stick with that.

I am not talking badly about our youth set up, just clarifying that he did not come from ours. He is finishing off his skills with us, which I agree, is important to his development.

No - I didn't think you were dissing our youth setup. I've just noticed that we seem to have cut a lot of academy players and reduced the academy hype. We seem to be focusing a lot more on this mid-range age group, as if this is what seems to be working for us.

Could be down to other academies doing good work and our good scouting team finding these players and buying them at the right time, thus saving money and development time. People talk about how good the Barcelona system is, but they still supplement their youth with players from other youth academies.

Wet women football a hit in Brazil
http://www.givemesport.com/414693-wet-women-football-a-hit-in-brazil

A Brazilian TV show appears to have found a winning formula when it comes to viewing figures – women playing football on a soaking wet blow-up football pitch.

Whilst the video appears to be quite old, the footage has only recently started doing the rounds on the internet – with The Daily Mail running it earlier today (Friday).

The game of football remains relatively true in the sense that there are two teams – one in black pants and one in white pants.

However, it becomes a bit of a shambles when you realise that both teams find it VERY difficult to stand. Goalmouth scrambles and on-the-floor action follows, before the white pants score a brilliant flicked opening goal.

A second goal is much quicker to arrive, with the black pants finding an almost instant response.

Did I say watching women play football was boring? I take it back, and i'm sure Gunner be Allright does too....

I think I'll wait till I get home from work before I watch this. Probably when the wife isn't around too.
