Ozil has given the ball away a couple of times but has also been involved in some very tidy passing play
Contact was outside the box (penalty given) but a penalty should have been given earlier (shirt pull on giroud), keeper was off his line by miles but ozil took an aweful penalty, and throw in an early goal for good measure, odd game.
Hope all this sloppy play does not come back to haunt us,the match is sitting on a plate for us,why can't we put this game to bed first and then they can p--s about all they like.
Decent half. Should have killed then off but we're still comfortably leading. Theo should finish them off in tge second half
We've dominated this half, moved the ball really well at times but given it away cheaply a few times too. Several times we have had the defence splitting ball played (chip by ramsey, through ball by Ozil, switch by Rosicky) but each time it hasn't quite come off due to miss control. The penalty should have been taken by Giroud, he takes a quality penalty and tallying up goals is good for a strikers confidence even if there penalties. Overall a good half, we've been patient and kept posession and we've limited them to almost nothing in terms of attack. We need to keep our concentration and patience and probe until we find the opening for a second.
Should be 3-O up. Terrible pen from Ozil but as mentioned he's also been involved in some tidy passing and good attacking play. Hopefully that poor penalty effort will act as a bit of a wake up call for him though, with his talent he should be burying those chances every time.
No, I was screaming at the telly wondering why Giroud wasn't taking it. Just from Ozil's body positioning I could tell it wasn't going to be a good penalty. I just hope we don't rue these missed chances.

He did one of those silly half run up things, i always expect those to miss But mainly i just think Girou should take penalties, he is quality from the spot.
Spare a thought for the Spuds on this cold November evening. Having seen their side get totally humiliated 6-O at the weekend, they now have to watch their superior neighbours play in the premier competition in Europe, whilst they await an insignificant showing in the Europey cup on Spursday night.
