How has the Arsenal vs Olympiacos thread turned into to an in-depth discussion about the Dutch ****? Not really the thread for that. <ok>

you think thats struggling ? 3 points ?

Struggling is what they WOULD be doing without 2 RVP goals.

Just imagine that , losing to CLUNGE .<rofl>

anyway , lets draw a line under the manure game.

I think struggling is when you have to work to beat some Romanian nobody with your best available squad. And again assuming hoer players like Rooney couldn't have scored that and acting as if RvP created those chances without help from his teammates.

The goalkeeper basically did an Almunia for the 2nd goal, but it was still a good finnish, :) so much for RVP failing to live up to the standards of last season, here's another idea, at the end of this season, let's sell our best player again, and then some of you can come on here saying the player was sh!t and won't play as good again.

RVP sure as hell looks 10 times better than Giroud, no 2 ways about it.

It was against bloody CRUJ FC, not Barcelona. Looks 10x better than Giroud? How about you wait until the end of the season before making that statement. Honestly the **** scores 2 goals against a nobody team and some people are getting their knickers in a twist about it.

He's been scoring all season, and last I checked, when Giroud scored against a nobody team, Coventry, a lot of Arsenal fans were going wild about, so be consistent at least.

Secondly, you score against who's in front of you, right or not? So if RVP scores against a **** team oh well it's a **** team, they were the winning goals, and winning goals are winning goals, you beat what's put in front of you, doubt you'd say the same thing if Giroud scores against some unknown rubbish team, and hey, that's exactly what happened when Giroud scored against Coventry.

I didn't see many guys going wild, the general consensus was "Yay He Scored. He broke the duck"

Credit to the traitor, that 2nd goal was a nice finish.

    For tomorrow (assuming Arteta is fit), i would play;

It gives some of our more important players a rest, Verm didn't look like he'd fully recovered from Flu against Chelsea, and i really don't want to start Kos right now. Jenks and Gibbs worked their arses off and looked shattered at the end of the game, so they deserve to be rested. Cazorla wasn't that good against Chelsea, so i'd rest him too, Arshavin in the middle is normally a good option for Russia, so it should work for us.

If we're keeping Theo, nows the time to try him through the middle. I was tempted to put Gnabry in for Ox, but i can't remember if he's in the CL squad.

Well for Manu, it's YAY RVP scores AGAIN, he's their top scorer, and top scorer in England with most overall goals, so no matter how you try to spin it, he's doing excellent for them, and is continuing on the same form he left us in, which is scoring.

You and any other fans are truly deluding yourselves if you think some major RVP barren run is going to hit soon, that'll only happen if he gets injured, but as long as he's on the pitch right now, he will score in more games than he won't, he's playing the best football of his career, and his current form proves it.

This is what I don't get from Arsenal fans, many think Giroud has a good chance of becoming a great striker while believing RVP will go on a barren run, really???? Based on what exactly? RVP has a 10 times better chance of maintaining his form than Giroud has of reaching that level, and that's a fact, but with a lot of Arsenal fans, everything's seen through blinkered tinted spectacles.

Yes yes, Giroud will become the best striker in the world, and RVP will stop scoring and end up playing for QPR next season, yes, just wait and see.

Here's another thing, RVP was the PREMIER LEAGUES best striker last year, the highest goal scorer, but we're supposed to believe that the top scorer of France, is going to be better? And i'm not trying to knock Giroud off, I think he will come good, but I don't think him coming good will be anywhere near what RVP was doing for us.

i really dont get what point your trying to make here .

It doesnt seem to matter if he only scores against sh1t teams. ?

Do you not get the same 3 points if you beat Reading or Man City ?

Do you get 6 points if you beat a good team ?

They have a set number of teams to play .
We have a set number of teams to play.

We could do without our best player by a country mile , getting points for our rivals.

He is playing in the same league as us .

Every goal he scores for United is a goal against us .

Selling HIM to THEM , is the biggest mistake i have EVER seen us make.

    Is it me ???

Did you pick that team to suit your prediction of a 2-0 loss against Olympiacos?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. On reflection, maybe selling him to ManUre was a really stupid move by us, he's clearly still the best goalscoring CF in the premier league
