Now the little sojourn to the far east is over it's time for Wenger & Gazidis to get off their arses and start sorting out transfers

Overall we looked ok today, it was the most difficult of our pre-season fixtures so far. They closed well and where quick with there passing and i dont think the players expected them to be that good. Once we had settled into the game it was only poor finishing which stopped us going 3 or 4 up.

Kosc was very good today and cleared up at the back well. We looked shakey at the back which i think was actually due to the midfield letting to much space open up in the middle. Sagna seems good at CB in open play but not as much from set pieces, decent cover but hopefully it doesnt come to that during the season.

From the young guys i was looking forward to seeing Zelalem and Ryo and neither dissapointed - i was happy with the contribution both made and think they will both have a future at Arsenal.

I think it's important to get wins during pre-season to carry some confidence into the season, so im pleased akpom took his chance when it presented itself. All the players are getting some game practice and working up there fitness and i look forward to seeing how we play in the emirates cup.

Yea! I said Arsene would transform him into a center back this season or the next. He was used there and did well last season, so I guess Arsene is seeing if he can be relied on more often in that position. He would effectively be our 4th center back.
