Well that was a poor result, can't complain though we were never really up for it.
Matic was well off the pace and Rashford was certainly not right. I have been pleased to see the progress Fred has made in the last few games, hopefully he has now clicked with the team around him and will be the player I thought he could be. Nice to see Greenwood get some more minutes, he made really good use of them and looked like he belonged in the squad.
Opportunity missed to get a hold on top 4 but still plenty of games left to play, keeps the season exciting/interesting

Yep it does. FA Cup and CL to look forward to. Everything is just a bonus considering where we were 3 months ago. Tbh I wouldn't be too fussed about not finishing top 4 as long as the progress we're seeing continues. I think Ole's first full season without CL might actually be a good thing. Getting back to challenging for tge title should be the priority anyway.

Had a feeling that we would not perform today. May be something to do with lots of emotion being spent on Wednesday. And Matic being brought back too early.

But it confirmed with me is that given the choice I prefer to win matches against the likes of Chelsea Arsenal and PSG and progress in cup competitions (instead of being dumped) to grinding out 3 points a la Mourinho in the league. We may or may not get CL next season but the match against PSG was one of the great European nights despite only being a last 16 one and I wouldn’t ****ing swap it for 3 points in the league. Why be in a ****ing competition if it didn’t matter whether we progress or not ?

Very true. I am still feeling that PSG win. Surprisingly not feeling anything about the loss today.

Martial is back which is a good thing. Lingard coming back would also be a good thing as Rashford looks a little spent and we're in trouble if we're having to rely on Lukaku.

Mistake to play Matic ahead of McT yesterday.

Top 4 is going to be tough as we need to take at least 4 points from City and Chelsea at OT.

Can’t help but like Vincent Kompany, he’s a great guy.
