This is a game we need to win. Where's the urgency?

 

We're really slow and predictable in this first half. Seem to be waiting for them to score before we react. Not good enough.

I'm a bit surprised at the team. I thought pace would be needed.

slow , predictable , passing , endless stopping the play and turning to face backward , NO runs into the box , no runs into space , no movement .

One thing is that we've improved on Saturday's performance, although I think we could have hardly played worse if we tried.

 

The Pod will get , maybe his usual 10 minutes.
Giroud could break both legs and still get a start .

Gnabry's a good idea actually. We need some directness.


We are better than United all over the pitch but their superiority up front could still win them the game. RVP and Rooney are soo much more dangerous than the big frenchman.

 

I'd bring on Gnabry if we haven't managed to break through by the 60th minute. We need some different options. Ozil has been much improved tonight but has no-one to aim for in the middle expect Giroud. Got to get players running beyond him.

 

We've been the better team, probably had more chances, just not worked the keeper.

 

This is going to end 0-0 I fear.

 

Have only managed to catch the last few minutes of the first half and couldn't really tell form the commentary what the half has been like. Sounds like we have had a couple of chances and kept the ball but not much to watch from either side?

Hoping for a good second half, 3 points would be really useful here!
