What's done is done now, we've dropped 5 points in 2 big premier league games that were a chance for us to prove ourselves, to prove the pundits wrong, that we can show up and get the result in the big games, rather than bottling it. We didn't, in fact we failed quite badly, getting our asses handed to us by Liverpool, and getting a toothless 0-0 draw against the worst United team in decades. Real way to show the critics wrong Arsenal!
Liverpool A 1-5 loss United A 0-1 loss City A 3-6 loss Chelsea H 0-0 draw Everton H 1-1 draw United H 0-0 draw Anyone think we're going to get anything from Chelsea, Spurs and Everton away and City home? Going by our current form against any team that isn't rubbish, at best it looks like we could get 4 points from those four games. Top 4 could become a real struggle if Spurs and Liverpool keep winning.
I think I'm done here for good. This pathetic display of sub-human intelligence just tears it for me. Been nice chatting with a few of you over the years, but I can't subscribe to this cool-aid cult of moronic depression any longer. I see absolutely no point in coming here to read this ridiculous condemnation of our players week after week after week, win or lose, good performance or bad. There is no sense behind it that I can fathom, except perhaps in some way that the perpetrators hope to make themselves look intelligent by putting down the players and staff at our club. As I have said before, utterly pointless and ridiculous, to pretend to support a club, and then spend all your time saying how **** they are, and how **** everybody who doesn't think they are **** are. Maybe we will chat somewhere else one day, but I'm done here.
The fact I can change so few words of your rant and make it relevant to yourself shows how weak a statement it is: I think I'm done here for good. This pathetic display of sub-human intelligence just tears it for me. Been nice chatting with a few of you over the years, but I can't subscribe to this cool-aid cult of moronic positive spin any longer. I see absolutely no point in coming here to read this ridiculous praise and defense of our players week after week after week, win or lose, good performance or bad. There is no sense behind it that I can fathom, except perhaps in some way that the perpetrators hope to make themselves look intelligent by praising the players and staff at our club regardless of performance As I have said before, utterly pointless and ridiculous, to pretend to support a club, and then spend all your time saying how great they are whatever they produce on the field, and how **** everybody who doesn't think they are brilliant are. Maybe we will chat somewhere else one day, but I'm done here.
It was a bad performance, but what riles fans more than anything, is a lack of AMBITION. You have strikers on the bench, and you need a goal, at home, against a poor team. Had that been Fulham, or West Ham, would Wenger have settled for a draw? Or would he have put Bendy or Pod on to try & score late on? The fans paid their money, they watched the game, they made their feelings felt. Utd are a poor team, and they were there to be beaten. Arsenal bottled it, plain and simple. And more than that, Wenger bottled it. No positivity, no going for the win, no title for Arsenal.
Sorry, I meant to thumbs up your comment. I agree completely. We won't get another opportunity like this to beat United.
I think Wenger messed up with the substitutions and should have brought a couple of players to freshen things up and try and kick start things a bit earlier, maybe closer to the second half start. Bendy might have his detractors and I'm one of them, but he would have done a job coming on. He has an uncanny ability to score key goals for us and his strength and arrogance in front of goal could have changed things for us. Very strange that Wenger didn't even try and change Giroud when things obviously weren't working out. For me, this was a definite 2 points dropped. We should have buried this Manure and I think most of their fans were surprised that we didn't either.
I'm with you on this. This was the one thing I feared the most and it came true. This was a bottle job plain and simple. This should never have been a draw and a win was within our grasp. Instead of creating some daylight, we've made it harder for ourselves.
I am really beginning to think there is something more deep about this obsession with beating United. At the end of the day it is just 3points! Southampton beat united, Newcastle beat United, Spuds and Swansea beat United, (are these teams title contenders?) we have beaten these 3 teams at some point this season. United are no longer relevant to the title race, I am beginning to think some of our fans have suffered years of hurt and pain with United's success and were hoping to rib Manure fans today..... Really, how relevant are United to the title race this season, don't really know what all this outcry is all about? It almost feels fans on here feel, beating United will send a statement of intent..... I beg to disagree!
Btw, Toledo's great logic got shown up last night, according to Toledo, clean sheets win games, ummmm we had a clean sheet yesterday, but I didn't see no 3 points? Lol, the mr. I know football better than all of you, get's shown for the clown he is.
You know now you're jut trying to start an argument that could eventually result in a ban. Seems people here are more happy with winding others up than actually supporting the team.
Sometimes when I see the wailing & gnashing of teeth on here I feel so lucky to be old enough to remember football before the PL,606,talksport,Twitter,Facebook,forums and all the other bullshit that comes with modern day football. When I hear someone on the radio saying he's been a fan for 41 years and this is the worst Arsenal team he's ever seen I totally give up.
He's gone, so no argument is going to break out. Plus he insulted everybody who has a different opinion to his "everything is great at Arsenal and things couldn't be better", just look at his farewell message.
Why are you jumping on 87's back when Toledo went off on one and insulted all and sundry. This is a forum and everyone is entitled to their views.
I like forums with different views. I would get bored to death if this became some happy-clappy type of environment.
Oh come on, this argument blows dick. I really don't get why anyone around the age of 45 and above feel they are so morally superior just because they lived in a time when you didn't have all the aforementioned above things, think that you would be *any* different to today's modern fans with their modern technology. You would have been exactly the same had you had all this social media at your fingertips.. rose tinted goggles off please.
