thats what i said , instead of standing like a statue on the penalty spot... he had moved out to get the ball in from the right. if you wanna make him a ball crosser instead of our target man ....suits me down to the ground. There are other players far more capable than him in to be in the box... but at the moment they are feeding a waster .
Why dont you write a note to Arsene .he dont seem to see with your clarity ...........ALL SEASON ! You are right though , he is poor but thats not the main problem . The problem is that there are very few people running into the box asking questions of defenders. Our movement off the ball is very hit and miss.

We may as well put Merts up front. Similar pace but far better in the air and they'll have a few more challenges! Better yet, give TV5 some game time. He's quick, great in the air and technically probably about as good as Giroud
A lot of his good play last season came because we had pace to burn in this team. Without proper service he can't score goals. The loss of Walcott (although not solely responsible for his poor form) has given us severe problems this season..
I actually fancy a bit of Vermaelen in DM. Luiz has done it and looks great... I think TV is technically as good as Luiz (or am I thinking wishfully?!).
Often wondered about Vermaelen being converted to a DM. I think he could play there, but I don't think he's technically gifted enough to play as a proper midfield player. But yes he could do a job in there.
