Coq is terrible. A half fit Diaby would be a better call. Hopefully we have a fully fit Capoue for Chelsea.....
Yeah but we could have played that for another hour and not scored. We are not a threat in any way shape or form . Joe Hart had a day off.
I don't agree that Szczesny was 'decent'. He always keeps putting the defense in trouble with his terrible clearings, and putting the ball back in play quickly with 5 opponents in our area. Whenever he has to use his head, it fails him. His reflexes and physical ability carry him, he'd be seen as complete **** otherwise.
And? Lets be honest... that doesn't matter when it comes down to the actual game! I think it will be a good game next Sunday. It depends what we do on Wednesday against Southampton. Win that and we get our home confidence back and then we may win against you. Lose to the Saints and it will be tough against you.
I don't think Diaby was terrible but in a 10-man team it was too much for him on his return from injury. He showed that he can brake through a defense and win the ball back - we need to be using him sparingly though. I think had it been 11vs11 he would have done better but would still made way for Ramsey so as not to over use him. I get your point though and it's a shame we don't have a back-up Arteta type player. We have alot of strength in depth to our midfield in that we have Cazorla, Wilshere, Arteta, Diaby, Rosicky who are all top class and Ramsey who is good. But when Arteta is out we don't have a player who can step in and play his role. Diaby can do it but it isn't where he is best utilized imo. And due to both Rosicky/Diaby being players who have injury problems we need another enforcer in midfield. Either an Arteta/pirlo type deep player or a solid DM m'villa type. That one more strong player in midfield would give us lots of different options and style we could play. I hope we get someone in during January. I'd like another attacking option as well, either an Isco tricky wide midfilder, or a top quality striker. I'm still confident we will get top 4 if we sign a player or two. If we don't then i still think we can make top 4 but it will be a tough task. If we don't make signings then we need to be lucky with the our injury situation and put in an improved second half of the season.
Don't waste your time on this person, he's known as being delusional on this board. He though Arsenal were title contenders when we were up 12 points behind United, or as he said at the time "it's only 12 points" Hey OXO, it's only 21 points now, fancy our chances?
Was he ****. He moved into space and just misplaced a simple pass. As soon Gibbs got IT we were about to start a counter and the ref blew the whistle.
It was clearly just a ****ty pass - advantage had been played and they had the advantage but instead he played a crap pass and we where on the counter. Poor decision from the ref - but that was one of many. He let the free-kick be taken quickly for city but not for arsenal (almost identical positions). He allowed a push on podolski and then gave a free-kick for a push on a city player a moment later. He was inconsistent and making all sorts of odd calls. He wasn't giving cards when eh should and gave reds when he shouldn't. He had a terrible, terrible day today. And he alwasy seems to make it difficult for us. He either has a bias against us or is just terrible in general - or a bit of both.
But, but Arsenal don't lose back to back games. (You basically see the idiocy we're having to deal with)
I feel for you... At least you're a bit upbeat after this City result... Maybe the thing that's keeping your head up is the fact you haven't lost two games in a row in the premier league and thus will be cheering some points next week
Traditionally Arsenal in recent years have always come to Stamford Bridge in bad form and more often than not won. The last 2 wins they've had at the Bridge where when they were supposedly in crisis and dubbed "must win" games. The only positive is that our crowd will be behind the team for the likes of Arsenal. No Koscielny is also a hammer blow, he's by a stretch your best defender. Neither team is in scintillating form, should be a good derby.
I thought Diaby did okay today considering he's been out for 3 months and he was having to play against an extra man after 11 minutes. He was clearly tired at the end. Ramsey did well when he came on. Hopefully some of our fans can now start to get behind Diaby and Ramsey instead of slagging them off at every opportunity. They are going to need our support for the rest of the season , that is for certain
My prediction went all wrong lol.. We have no interest in doing the unglamours parts of the game, tracking back, working hard off the ball etc Both reds were right IMO, Koscielny rugby tackled Dzeko to the floor and Kompany dived in studs showing.
Seeing as he did not get sent off for violent conduct, he will only miss one game, which will be against Swansea this Wednesday.
