I agree - this lack of character surfaces when things look ok. The players seem to ease off - time and time again. When things are really bad, they pick up again.
Robbed is an understatement. The offside was so clear it can be nothing other than cheating. The penalty decision was also a joke and Young should get a ban for that dive. British players really are getting a reputation now for being the biggest cheats in world football.
Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Song, Arteta, Rosicky, Benayoun, Walcott, Van Persie. Yossi in for Ramsey. Only change from the QPR game.
Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy; Yaya Toure, Barry; Milner, Aguero, Nasri; Balotelli. No David Silva for Manchester City.
By the way - City's team emphasises the discussion on money we were having earlier. Take a look at their 11 today and tell me who you would replace in the Arsenal 11 - despite ~£500m spent.
Gervinho has lost all confidence, and I think it actually makes sense to have a threat on the bench if we need to change things up. If you look at the rest of our bench, its cover for injury - but nothing to actually change the game in our favour.
From those two teams but from the squad, NDJ and David Silva would still get in my first team. City squad depth is the massive difference.
Even in a top 22, I think you might find it something like 12-10 in City's favour... not much more than that,
Interesting to see Richards also not starting. Mancini never takes a gamble. Knows that two FB going forward will leave them exposed.
Also on the bench. They prefer Barry for some reason. Hopefully Rosicky will run rings around him, but I suspect Milner was picked for extra defensive cover.
