Wenger mentioned this in his post match interview when he talked about our spirit carrying us through when our legs had gone

What I was particularly impressed with last night were our tactics. As we have done before with City, we've got it right to be able to contain them when they have the ball and hit them when we have possession. Last night other than the Toure goal, we had City under control through the whole game.
I had a little laugh to myself when Walcott said in the after match interview that other than Toure scoring the wonder goal they didn't really threaten us. Love his confidence and interviews, he has the right mentality, he comes across as very professional, confident in himself and optimistic about the team. I was pleased to hear him say what we were saying on here!
That's a big win for you guys, you won't have a better chance with Chelsea & Utd in the situations they are in, personally though I'd love to see you fail if it meant Leicester won it.
Most disappointing aspect for me was how Arsenal wanted it so much more 2-1 wasn't particularly a fair reflection on a game we were fortunate not to be on the receiving end of another hiding
What do you think City need to turn it around ? New manager ? Decent back up to Kompany ? Something else ?
Probably a bit of each Pellegrini is tactically very limited and incredibly stubborn in consistently playing a high line which really suits the opposition more than it does City Yaya is a liability for the majority of games as is Kolorov, the sheer lack of effort from these two for me overshadows what an horrific defender Mangala is when he's got little cover in front of him Navas will never be good enough, seems to be an old mans indulgence from a past life as does Demichellis
I know it's been said a lot, but this is genuinely our best chance to win the league because it's so open and our main competitors aren't looking up to it. Next season, you just know they will have reinforced their squads and will be in a far better state than they are currently. Obviously January will be a huge month in terms of ins/outs for some teams, but if we don't win it this season, I don't think we'll see AW win it again.
TBH maybe it's time to give Arsenal and the league their fair dues? Yes, City have not looked great recently, but that is not down to them being **** and needing some huge overhauls, you look at their squad and it's one of the best in England and Europe, and their failure to conquer all is more down to how strong the EPL has become, and because rival teams like Arsenal are not going away, and are proving themselves to be a worthy competitor to City. For the last 3-4 years we have heard 'Arsenal stand no better chance to win the league than this year because every year everyone will improve', that tells you all you need to know, the league is just becoming stronger which is why every year the top teams are simply not dominating as everyone expects, and then they think it's because the top team isn't so good and need improving for next year. Every team in the EPL are making big improvements year on year. If we win the league this year, it's not because City were weak, it's because we were just better than them, you can't honestly look at this City squad, and their world class manager, and try to argue they're weak which is why they didn't win anything. As with the case with Arsenal, I think City are maybe 1-2 world class signings from being a complete package, replacing players like Navas with another world class player.
87, I agree with your post except City being 1-2 players away from the complete package. On paper, City and Chelsea are the complete package but they simply aren't playing well as a team for whatever reason. Arsenal have edged all the top teams by playing on a more consistent basis. Its Arsenal that is 2 players away from being the complete package, but for the league they are good enough to win it.
