Congrats on the win, beat us fair and square.

Think you will find many reds who ( if we are not in the title race of course) want you guys to do well, me included, primarily for the footy you play and how you at least try to bring your youngsters through.

At the end of the day we weren't good enough, just make sure you beat up on United, Spurs, Chelsea, and City though ya? <ok>

It was aggression, stop getting all uptight about it, and Sagna would be able to take on your 'hard' players, he wouldn't need fists, he'd just take em down with headbutts.

Gerrard would need his fists to throw those 'punches' if you can call them that, hehe look at his fight with the DJ, loser.

I don't. you're a great team and I hope one day to play like you. Superb. But praising sagna for coming over all Arnie against our smallest player - because he wouldn't put the ball out for a player who WALKED BACK ONTO THE PITCH TO GET TREATMENT - is comical. He (or Flamini) wouldn't have done that against Sakho or Skrtel. Gobshite.

Being large and powerful-looking is not always an indicator of core strength. Look at Chamakh. Utterly useless player. And I distinctly remember Ramsey grappling with Yaya Toure when Arsenal played Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium back in September 2012.

We did indeed. To the better team. The only consolation would have been if Sagna had have thrown his weight around with one of our bigger players. <ok>

He has to come back on the pitch - any 5 year old who knows about football, knows that a player may not leave the pitch without the referee's permission. Unfortunate that the commentators don't know **** either.

He cannot leave the pitch to receive treatment.

Any defending player leaving the field of play for any reason without the
referee’s permission shall be considered to be on his own goal line or touch line
for the purposes of offside until the next stoppage in play. If the player leaves
the field of play deliberately, he must be cautioned when the ball is next out of
    play.

Technically, by leaving the field of play, even at the other end, he would be playing your entire team onside. What is comical is your lack of basic football knowledge.

Wrong, wrong wrong! He was off the pitch when he was injured. He wasn't 'leaving' the pitch at all - he was already off it, and he should have been treated off the pitch, then asked for permission to come back on.

By your definition, Townsend should have crawled out of that photographers' trench last week and staggered back onto the pitch to receive treatment, otherwise he should have been booked after his treatment when he went back on the pitch! <whistle>

Gunner B, I prefaced my first statement that you were the better team and deserved to win. Not the first time I said it at all. And I worked with 5' 6", 8st pip-squeak who was an ex-marine and, like your dad, would have flattened blokes twice his weight if he needed to. Wouldn't have had a blouse attack like Sagna though with a guy significantly smaller over an issue he was palpably wrong, and that was the point.

You guys miss the main point. Sagna was QUALITY yesterday. And our back 4 were IMMENSE. Arteta was IMMENSE. They had "the best attacking duo in EPL" in their pocket. On top of that Gibbs had some muscle strain and I did not really worry because our 2nd choice LB is Spain international. And our captain Verm who would walk into Liverpool defense on any day, can not even get a chance to start. How's that about the "weak Arsenal defence" ?
Our defence was what impressed me mightily yesterday. There is some ruthless streak there now as well manifested by Sagna, and this was what we were lacking previously. (I see Flamini influence) That's why guys were drooling about that Sagna "aggression". But in essense it is not about Sagna-Coutinho or whoever, at is about the attitude which was spot on against Liverpool. For the first time in several years we were clearly better, and that was when Liverpool was playing probably their most consistent football in years. Priceless.

I have enough people on here recreating their fantasies and pretending they are real, without you doing it too. The issue is "Leaving the field deliberately" and whether the referee has given permission or not. The real problem is that the ball was brought forward the length of the field, when we had a man down. There was no breakaway, and deliberate feigning of injury to halt the play. This was a cynical attempt by a team of players to take advantage of an injured player. You are making crap up just to try and justify what your team did. No professional will leave the field of play for treatment, without the game being stopped unless he is reasonably unable to do so. It is drummed into them and the medical staff.

Generally speaking you will find that most professionals will consider what Liverpool were doing unsportsmanlike. Don't be surprised if teams don't put the ball out for your injured players in the future. What goes around comes around.

This starts with your manager, who really doesn't know what is going on in this game at this level. He is just a well-intentioned amateur. A Mourinho or even a Ferguson would have shouted at their team to put the ball out.
