Gutted not to get the 3pts tonight! Giroud should have finished one of those chances. It would have been a get out of jail goal to be honest, but **** we came close ! Draw was probably the right result in the end to be fair.
Our attacking performance in the 2nd half was stunning, but you can't win games when you have such a **** defence.
Very good come back. Arsenal showed lot of spirit there. They should have won it in the end but a draw is a good result after being two down. Jack Wilshere, Giroud, Cazorla and Walcott really came alive. Wilshere was man of the match.
Walcott was brilliant. It's amazing how he can sustain that pace for 90 mins. Scored his 20th goal of the season with that cracker of a goal.
Mertesacker and Vermaelen were awful today. Vermaelen really needs to be dropped, unfortunately his back up has been just as bad this season
Yes he missed a few tonight, most notably in the 88th minute or thereabouts when he botched a sitter from 3 feet out. A more clinical striker would have at least half a dozen more PL goals than Giroud IMO, and with that Arsenal would be sitting pretty in the top 4.
No he hasn't been "as bad". First Chelsea game was a bad game for Koscielny, but he has been solid when he's been playing. This "he doesn't match well with this or that player" bullshit has to stop. He is the best central defender we have. Mert has been shown to be clumsy against teams that actually persistently attack.
I thought we were the better team easily in the first and second half. Lucky goal for there firs one and again a lucky deflection for the shot to fall to Henderson after he got tackled (mert hits the ball into santos leg and it rolled back perfectly for henderson to score - if the ball had gone anywhere except that exact spot he still wouldn't have scored. We need to tighten up at the back - its obvious to see. We dominated the game from beginning to end and they never looked like they where as good as us. Can't believe how much credit they are getting on sky - i thought they where average and we should of won today.
Our defence has cost us 2pts today. We should have won that game. I thought we started quite briskly up until that stupid goal to give away and then we were always facing an uphill struggle. Our only decent defender tonight got injured and to be honest the rest of them were pretty shambolic at times. We simply HAVE to defend better. As SJW says our attack with Santi and Wilshere carving open Liverpool's defence for Pod, Giroud and Walcott was stunning. Desperately unfortunate for Giroud not to poke one of those late chances home, but our defence should never have put the rest of the team in that position in the first place.
