There are rumours circulating that Thomas Partey didn’t arrive with the squad today and won’t be playing…let’s see how accurate that is

No Partey or Zinchenko. Should still have enough to win.

COYG! Presume Partey and Zinchenko rested for next Wednesday, not heard anything injury wise. Keep it up Gunners massive 3 points today to show intent!

    FT. 2-1.

Made hard work of that in the end. Dominated them in the first half, but were awful in final third. Then Gabriel made a stupid error gifting Mitrovic a goal, but thankfully, we responded quickly with Odegaard’s strike. And I’m glad Gabriel made amends for the mistake by getting the winner.

Leno had an excellent game, and thwarted us at every opportunity, but our 2nd goal highlights why we sold him. Botched the clearance from a corner and didn’t command his area.

Anyway, most importantly, we won against a side who have caused teams problems this season, and didn’t slip up.

100% start to the season continues <ok>

Partey doesn't play and we looked worse. We need a central midfielder.

Exactly - Partey and Zinchenko both missed today. Another CM is essential IMO.

I was at the game and I have to say I have not heard Arsenal fans this loud in at least 10 years.

I was disappointed to see Lokonga not play because I want to see more of what he’s about.

With Elneny, you know what you’re getting. A calm controller in the middle of the park who keeps things ticking over and helps retain possession.

But this is Lokonga’s second season and I want to see whether he’s as good as people seem to say he is. He showed glimpses of quality at times, but he never got a consistent run in the team.

Maybe Arteta doesn’t fully trust him yet, but if we’re a Partey absence/injury away from an Elneny-Xhaka midfield as Arteta’s preference, then we absolutely need to be getting a new CM in. Like now.

Decent win. Really like the mettle this team are showing. We've got players in there now who will die for the cause.

This is why Arteta shipped Aubameyang out

    Think the real test for you lot (and us) will come from;

    1. Coping with injuries
    2. Recovering from a bad result
    3. Coping with 2 games a week from now until the world cup.

Still think both of us need another signing or two.

Agree with that. We've both come out of the blocks firing so far, but the real tests are ahead.
