Rumours today are that Pulis might not even be in charge for this game. Turmoil at Palace and the season hasn't even started.
Could be very good or bad for us. If Pulis isn't in favour then its unlikely he'll give it his all in motivating his players. However, if he has the backing of the dressing room, they might fight extra hard to keep him in his job.
Palace must be either nuts or skint ... after his football heroics of last season you would have thought they'd have trusted his judgement regarding signings which suggests they are skint! Not only did he save them but he got them playing good football that was enjoyable to watch as a neutral.
Apparently it was to do with who had control over transfer policy. I think Pulis wanted control over it but the Chairman kept sticking his oar in and ****ing it up. Can't see Pulis ever wanting to work for Levy eh ?
According to Arsenal.com Gnarby has an injury but no timeline for recovery (sounds ominous!), Diaby is training and looking good (new signing!), Ospina is out for 3 weeks!!!! but Kos should be back and fit for tomorrow
If we can manage to keep Diaby fit for at least half the season, then I can see him make a big impact for us. He gives us something different in midfield that no one else offers.
Definitely true. I was thinking the other day, that even with the financial restraints of the past decade - if we hadn't had such crippling injuries we would surely have won quite a bit of silverwear. Sagna broke his leg 3 times, Ramsey, Eduardo was looking like a promising fox-in-the-box player who could have come off the bench, before being broken in half, Diaby died and has only just been revived! Walcott, broken by Stuart Pearce, Oxo has had his problems, Toure got malaria, Gibbs is pertpetually injured, RVP could have been one of the very best strikers in the world if he'd stayed fit, Rosicky, Vermaelen, Wilshere - of course. That's 13 players, mostly picked up for a song who struggled to be at their best (or were out for huge stretches), or never fulfilled their potential in some cases because of injury at a time when we couldn't afford to replace them. Crazy.
Wow i forgot about all those players, some even got injured for all their prime, namely Rosicky. I remember for the Czech Rep/Dortmund he was top dollar, he was great on the ball, had vision and a wicked shot. Although he's made a decent comeback, he is nowhere near the quality he was in his prime, and his shot has completely disappeared. But I agree, had we managed our injuries better we would have bagged a few trophies during our drought. Just imagine a Diaby and a prime Rosicky in midfield, with RVP as our main CF after Henry left. I think just having Walcott last season may have affected a few key results when Giroud was struggling to score.
Yeah it's crazy when you think about it - and that midfield would have been awesome - A fully fit Diaby (supposedly meant to be better than Viera) next to Fabergas, with Rosicky in front, and a world class fully fit RVP in front, it would have been deadly. And if you think I've forgotten about back up players like Djourou who were injured at the same time, it's crazy! But I suppose we should have still done much better than we did - I mean we did have the best striker in the world in our team... http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02717/bendtner_2717828b.jpg
C.Palace must be out of their ****ing minds to have gotten rid of Pulis, idiots, they deserve to get relegated now.
