Granit Xhaka and Denis Suarez will have their respective hip and groin problems assessed, while Sokratis is suspended. Crystal Palace are without Jeffrey Schlupp, who will miss the remainder of the season with an ankle injury. Mamadou Sakho and James Tomkins are also unavailable.
I've just captained Auba so the mofo better do the business for me and score a ton of tap-ins for this double game week. If we can somehow get six points from the next two games I think we'd be almost there for top four. Wolves are generally worse at home .... Aren't they?!?!
Precisely what I say about Dick Emery... A game of this magnitude, he fields Elneny, Jenkinson, Guendozi?? Is he trying to look clever by trying to rescue it afterwards? What a joke of a manager.
HT. 0-1. We've had a clear penalty shout from Wan-Bissaka's handball totally ignored, but apart from that, we have been garbage. I don't know why Emery fielded this team. There is no pace to get in behind, there is no forward movement and everyone wants the ball to feet. Meaning Palace's tactics of defending deep and hitting us on the break are working. Mavrapanos's foul in the build-up to the goal was dreadful. His positioning was poor, feet all over the place and so he had to pull Benteke's shirt. He's not ready to be in the first-team just yet. To be expected though as he was injured for 5-6 months. Mustafi switching off for the set-piece proving yet again why he is a liability. Based on calibre of chances, Palace could easily be 3-0 up. We need to show more intent in the second half otherwise this is a huge opportunity that we've blown.
I'm afraid if you think Mustafi was at fault for the set piece then your opinion on anything related to football is questionable. Even Bear didn't try to blame the goal on him, credit to him for that, and he is the last person to stick up for Mustafi. There was only one person to blame (apart from Mavrapolis' for the foul) and it should be fairly obvious.
You can't be serious? He just lets Benteke run off him and doesn't look at where he is. He has a free run on goal. The goal wasn't entirely his fault, but he had a big part to play. You can **** off with your condescending comments by the way.
He catches Benteke offside. No ****ing way your wing-back should be playing everyone onside - you ****ing idiot.
Bunch of clowns. I give up on the manager and this shower of poo poo! How long do we give this guy for crying out loud?? Terrible terrible showing. Over and out, no point in watching this garbage!
Toledo is never going to concede Mustafi is not good enough regardless of how he plays and how many goals we ship in. He's soo bad its reaching comical levels.
Well, that's it. The one game that should have been a banker and we've blown it. Mustafi was at fault for every single goal we conceded today, but of course, Toledo is going to make excuses for him like he always does. The top 4 is on a knife-edge and we couldn't afford to not win today. If we want to salvage top 4, we will need to win at Wolves away. I am not confident, but thank god Sokratis will be back.
That was horrific. Could be a season defining loss at this stage, unfortunately. Even if we beat Wolves (let's be honest, that's not happening)
oof...pretty poor result. What a time lose our first home game since August. We can still do this though. Now that weve lost at home, I think we might just beat Wolves away. watch this space.
