I thought we played well, oxocube looked good in midfield an we moved the ball quickly but they have defended very well. I want to see us get something from a freekick as that is when they look most frail.

Start well but faded as the half wore on. Let's not forget City struggled to break this lot down and Chelsea also battled to beat them.

God Pulis' anti-football is worse than Jose's.

I don't think we have played badly, i think thats a discredit to how well Palace have defended.

Nah can't see Bendtner improving things in such a game.

Get rid of Podolski, bring in Rosicky. Cazorla on the left and Ox on the right flank.

The thing is, our play is making it easy for them, we're playing so slow, not using any width, not making any good movement, so it's not down to them just defending, we are playing rubbish in attack.

We've been solid just lacking that cutting edge up front. Unless you're saying we've played badly which would be a stupid statement to make.

We are making it easy for them with our slow play, when we play our fast 1 touch football with movement, teams struggle, but when they have everybody back, and we're just going side to side so slow, that's not going to trouble anybody.

I don't see why people expect a team with a much worse squad and fewer resources to go and play naively open knowing they have no chance to get points.

He's doing OK with what he's got.

What exactly is it you think we didn't do well? We havn't scored yet but they have defended well. We have had the vast majority of the posession, we've defended well when we have had to, we have moved the ball quickly and several times broken right through only for a last ditch tackle to break down our move. Granted we havent had enough shots but otherwise it hasn't been bad.

Yes, we have been playing badly in our forward play, very badly.

What haven't we done well, score, and creating chances with good forward play, we've barely done anything in attack, how can you look at that and say what more could we do? Are you not watching how we barely created anything?

This game is evidence that we don't need a striker. <ok>

Need to be more direct. Can't state enough how much the loss of Walcott has hurt our forward play. We have no pace out wide.

Can't really blame the striker when our midfield's been too slow to get it to the final third.

Football is not about only defending, but attacking, any of you on here who thinks we've done 'well' in attack haven't a clue about what you're talking about, and that's what we'd term, pure class spin jobbing. It doesn't take a genius to watch that first half performance to say we were lacking and rubbish in our forward play. We had 1 shot on target in the first 5 minutes, our only next shot on target was a free kick cross by Ozil, lol, and that's good attacking football against a team like Palace? Some of you need to get your heads out of your asses.

Exactly, that's what I'm saying, we have been so slow, lacking ideas, no good movement, nobody can say our attacking play in that half has been good, it's been rubbish, and not because of Pulis' 19th century tactics, but because we're playing so slow and so predictable, not using width, not making space, not utilising good movement, not playing the ball fast enough.
