Good result, the last two goals put a bit of a gloss on a pretty dour second half, but job done and first into the hat for round 5
Comfortable game, and I enjoyed it. Seven wins in a row. Let's make it eight against the Saints on Tuesday.
We weren't great in the 2nd half but were never in any real danger of giving it away. Easy win. We need to rest up for the trip to St Marys on Tuesday which will be a difficult game. I hope Ramsey and Arteta will be back for it.
They raised their game and started to press more, but we did get sloppy. But all the effort they put meant that they were spent towards the end and we punished them.
Do you think that was a bottle of champagne or a big **** off bottle of Budweiser that Podolski received for MOTM ?
Podolski again showed why he should only ever play on the left for us. Scored 2 from there and looked good, but in the brief cameo as a CF, he barely touched the ball and was subbed off.
I know bendy just came back but he is not good enough! Let's hope for a striker.... I think he had one good game before he got injured and ppl got hope....but he ain't consistent and isn't that's what wenger always says?
Hopefully we can get another soft home draw in the next round, because with the fixtures we have next month, we need it. An away trip to a big team would be a killer. So far we have been lucky enough to get two piss easy ties in the cup.
Jokes aside, they gave us more of a problem than that other small London club we played. Full credit to them.
This game just illustrates how poor Bentdner is. He can't carve put anything for himself. Giroud and Podolski proving much more effective.
Job done I suppose but took me that second half was boring. What was that one fat steward up to with the second pitch invader?! He was allowed a good few minutes of bowing whilst tubs waddled over and even then it took the Coventry players to get rid of him. Cue a further few minutes for the fat f*ck to roll off the pitch. I mean... Come on. I sympathise with their plight but that took the piss. Personally I thought there were some pretty poor performances from 4-5 players but most importantly we won and seemingly picked up no knocks! That has to be a first right? Shame about the draw but at least we're at home.
Wenger has been managing Arsenal for longer than Zelalem has been alive. He is the first player to have lived through ONLY the Wenger era to play for Arsene
