As long as we win and he gets time I'll be happy. I'd play Santi in the middle and Pod defo must start. Bendy might have a decent game like he did vs. Hull. I doubt Giroud will play the entire game. Kos might not be 100% either so it'd be safer to save him for Newcastle.
My team for West Ham: Same back 5 Flamini-Ramsey Walcott-Rosicky-Cazorla Giroud Subs: Fab, Monreal, Jenk, Bendy, Podolski, Ozil, Arteta I'd prefer to ease Podolski back in as a sub first, then start him the next game depending on how well he plays. I'd rest Ozil for this one, seeing how the Castle game is the tougher of the 2, so I think better rest him here rather than the next game, and better to rest him overall, he had a tough game today, so I think his legs will be tired if he has to play again on Thursday, then to play again on Sunday away at Newcastle which will be tough.
bull**** quotes ? you tell me who i attributed a single quote to ? you cant . I NEVER quoted anyone you tool . and IM the idiot .? do you know the definition of a quote ? if nobody had said them , they aint quotes then are they ? either they are quotes or they aint . show me WHO i stated had said ANY particular thing you cant . they aint quotes then are they . Fucks sake ... you are hard work .
YOU were saying we needed to get at them from the start . then YOU after the game were saying that " at least we didnt lose ". Is THAT not factual ? or is that bullsh1t ???
oh yeah and lets talk about diverting attention . you forgot to mention the " spunked 105 million up the wall " in this quote . heads up for you . NO ONE CARES ABOUT SPURS ! get over it .
im not a arsenal fan ... must admit wenger got it wrong big style .... even though Chelsea played well .. leaving carzola on the bench was a big mistake ( don't know if he was injured or not ) but players like rosicky and arteta aint game winners .. thought yous gave Chelsea far to much time on the ball ..and they didn't give yous time ... you manager should of picked up on that .. I actually question him as a great manager in todays game ...big money spent ...still cant win the big head to heads ..
It's not all doom and gloom. I'm disappointed by the result and I don't think Giroud is the finisher we need with the system we play but Wenger said something that puts things in perspective. "The most consistent team will win the league" We've got a really tough run of games out of the way and are still joint top, if we put the lower teams to the sword like we have done so far this season, we can keep the momentum going. It's not like Chelsea and Man City have been that consistent and both have shocking away games in them. As for Liverpool, surely Suarez's unbelievable form can't win them the league?
After the Manchester City debacle it was crucial not to lose this game. We simply COULD NOT afford to lose. I can understand Wenger's safety first tactics but we weren't great at all last night, in an attacking sense. I thought that we defended against Chelsea's counters reasonably well.
Even though we could have forced the win, I think the draw was the best outcome for us at this point. Losing could have induced a downward spiral, but the draw has kept our morale intact and Chelsea at bay. As Wenger said, the team with the most consistency will win. If we continue to get results away from home and at home against all the rest, then we should stay in the race.
After the game you tried to claim that people had said 'We played down how defensive and crap we were', 'It doesn't matter' and that we 'excused' the performance - all of which were BS. The reason you can't attribute those quotes to anybody is because nobody made them. Most people were debating the game in context and adding interesting opinions, including the fact that whilst we didn't win it was good not to lose, but you chose to spout off crap and tried to put words in people's mouths. I also noticed how you ducked out of that debate because you couldn't add anything of any value. So you waited until I'd logged off and then had your little rant.
Exactly This is the point I was making last night when Gobby Be Alright decided to start his BS campaign. Nobody is 'excusing' the performance, or 'playing it down'. It wasn't a good performance, but neither was it from Chelsea. I know the conditions were crap, but overall it was a dire game with misplaced passes and both teams giving the ball away. That said, as you mention I was GLAD NOT TO LOSE as it means we get a point and prevented Chelsea from gaining any ground on us.
You are right, it was so important not to lose that you could excuse the team for not winning at home. To win the league you have to be smart and be strategic sometimes. The season will go down to the wire and this draw could prove pivotal, as it could easily go down to a point or on goal difference.
Or we could lose the league by two points and therefore conclude that this game will have cost us. Easy to make up stuff isn't it?
So instead of taking the point and keeping it tight, thus ensuring that we at least 2nd at Christmas, you would rather we recklessly poured men forward as we did against Dortmund, lost the match and ended up in 4th behind Chelsea. Because that is exactly what would have happened. I have seen Chelsea snatch wins in exactly those types of games. If you want an example of it, look no further than their match against Manchester United at Old Trafford last season.
We weren't playing the best football yesterday and pushing men forward could have been very risky, especially when you're up against top quality attacking players from the opposing side. We tried to win without too many risks but didn't. It was a good point in the end when you look at all the circumstances.
Exactly, and they nearly did with that Lampard strike. We are very well placed at this time and have kept our morale intact. We have the Pod coming back and Walcott is easing in after a long lay off.
