I know what you mean, but not compared to the other three you mentioned Brilliant. You're an utter cock.
His recod says he pretty much is tbh, Wenger is a world class coach, but it's like the difference between Fabregas and Messi, you'd love either in your team, but if you had to choose you'd choose Messi
The pressure was on to beat Palace, and more pressure was heaped when we went down to 10 men, and we won 2-0, thank you very much. The pressure was also on when we faced Fulham (also away from home just like Palace) in the 2nd game of the season, after we lost 3-1 at home to Villa, so again the pressure was on to get the 3 points, and we did, thank you very much.
Really? I suggest you ask Madrid fans if they'd prefer Mo over Wenger. Mo has been more successful than Wenger largely down to always having more resources and spending more, Mo's first successful stint in England was down to spending huge amounts of money, and came at the exact same time when we were about to move to the Emirates so resources were very thin for us. So it's not fair to compare Wenger and Mo because 1 manager has always been spending way more than the other. And if you look at Mo's record and what he did with Madrid, with the players he had, and the resources, it wasn't very good at all. Can anyone even name any young players Mo has moulded and turned into world class players? Because I can't. Mo just always buys the finished product or a player almost getting to the finished product.
The pressure is on in March, April when you are going toe to toe with United and challenging on all fronts; that's when Arsenal capsize usually
Anyone saying Wenger is a better coach than Mourinho needs to be ashamed of themselves. Wenger isn't fit to dry-clean Jose's suits.
Yeah well I still stand by what I said, a lot of Madrid fans would prefer Wenger over Mo. You will find that on the continent, Wenger is actually very respected and much sought after by some of the top clubs, he might not win the most plaudits here in England, but abroad, Wenger is a popular man. Madrid have been after him for ages, PSG have been trying to get him. I'm not trying to put Mo down, I think he's a top manager, but fact is when both men retire, it will be Wenger who's legacy will be remembered more, because Wenger brought so much to the football game, as many say, he revolutionised the sport. Mo has won more trophies (on bigger budgets) but he's never brought anything new or unique to the game.
Agreed I think Maureen would have struggled more than Wenger if he'd been at Arsenal over the last eight years. There was no buying your way out of that situation.
It's not only about that, but even when Wenger had success, the way he brought that success was something new, with the style, training, method, it was something English football hadn't seen, from boring-boring rigid Arsenal to free flowing football by his first season, the Adams Everton goal well and truly summed it all up. With Mo, yeah he had success, on a massive budget, but the style he brought was nothing new, or spectacular, one can even call Mo's tactics as a simple better upgraded Arsenal of the early 90's, that's all. Mo has never actually brought up young players too, moulded them, and turn them into world class, he's never built a team in the true sense of building a team such as bringing players from your own ranks and being patient like SAF did, and like Wenger is currently doing with the likes of Wilshere, Gibbs, Gnarby, Shezny, Ramsey etc.
The invincibles will be something that will forever go down in the history books as well, that's something unique, special, more than Mo has and will ever achieve.
There were a lot of Madrid fans that didn't want him gone. Very much reminded me of Ancelotti's last season with us.
hmm, I'd like to have a look at the budgets for Arsenal and Porto before I comment, and I doubt his budget at Leiria was particularly high either. And how do you compare other than with success? His home form in the league was 150 games unbeaten spanning four leagues, 3 considered the best in the world at the time, and won the league against a team considered the worlds best. Since Mourinho first took charge of Chelsea and the EPL turned into more than a 2 horse race between Man Utd and Arsenal, Arsenal have won 1 FA cup. I don't dislike Arsenal and love to watch them play when they turn on the style, it's great to watch, Mourinho not as exciting for sure, but the truth is Wengers teams are show ponies, when sometimes you have to be a workhorse.
