We have our Champions League game on Tuesday... so we're going to be really fatigued come Saturday depending on the teams we play for each game. Although we are at home for Tuesday, Olympiakos are not to be taken lightly. Having said that, I'd say a slightly weaker team for Tuesday, a full strength side for West Ham away.
Back from the game. Fair play to you for having a go. I thought you would smash us today so I'm elated with the result. Our away support was fantastic today and I really enjoyed the day out at the Emirates. You'll do well this season for sure. 'He left cause you're shoite, robin van persie' he left cause you're shoite'. OK that's the only one I'll do
One thing is certain, Mertesacker HAS to start against WHU. He was made for playing against long ball teams. Kos and Verm would be a very unwise move, and i would hope Wenger recognises this. He did against Stoke, so he should for this too.
At least AW seems to recognize our mistakes during his interview. A good song. And Kyle? sorry for getting a bit heated with you. I don't want to have any issues with any fellow Gunners.
I'd probably agree. After today, it's clear Kos needs more time to get back to his performances from last season. But for WHU, it would be Verm and Mert, as Verm is more physical than Kos.
Well that's good, but it does us no good, Wenger shouldn't have ever done it in the first place, it was a change that really didn't make sense, and sadly, Wenger does have a bad habit of changing things when things are going right, if he wanted to bench Merte, then bench him for the mid week game. i always had Merte down to start for this game, so was surprised to not see him. Chelsea weren't only threatening from set pieces, but they were threatening in and around our box, Merte's long frame would have been able to handle Chelsea's dribbling in the box, all he has to do is stick a leg out.
I think what this says is today, Wenger got outcoached by Di Matteo. We all assumed with the team selection they'd play a fast game, they didn't, and it was an excellent bluff that worked a treat for Chelsea.
Having said everything, if Giroud just did a little better, it would've been a 2-2 result, and a 1-0 vs Sunderland in our first game, I must admit, he is frustrating me, and the reason being, is because they were TOP TOP TOP chances, when you get those chances in tight games where you're not playing good, you need to take them, that's what really separates the big boys from the rest, the big boys would convert those chances getting the win and the draw. That's where we still miss RVP.
i want this to be a draw. Like i said earlier, if spurs win, they go above us. Plus my best mate is a spud, and he'll be insufferable.
If 9 points are the minimum, would you only be satisfied if they give us extra points for dazzling the officials?
