Match Day Thread Arsenal vs. Chelsea 2015/16 Official Match Thread

Do Arsenal just completely lose their brains and coolness when it comes to playing Chelsea? I suspect that Arsenal would lose to Chelsea if Chelsea were a bottom of the Championship club.

 

I didn't realise that comment had got to you so much! It was added at the end of a sentence disagreeing that we are **** in all the big games by pointing out a handful of big games we have won this season. I hadn't particularly aimed it at anyone and had meant it to show my disagreement with the idea rather than to offend any individual. So my apologies if that is what has set you off, it hadn't been meant to offend anyone

It didnt, it just gave me free reign to start insulting back , fair is only fair. I aint offended one bit, i didnt complain at the time, I'm just bringing it up to show that it was not moi, who started the insults.

 

And get a red card in the process, we've had now 4 players sent off against Chelski in our last 4 against them.

 

I am amazed at the comments in this thread.

A little perspective is needed. After 23 games last year Arsenal had 39 points and were 14 points from top in 6th place. Also a point behind Spurs.
This year Arsenal have 44 points are 3rd and only 3 points off the top and are 2 points ahead of Spurs.
The idea that this is Arsenal's best chance is just not true as there have been great chances in the last few years to win the league. In this season that people are calling terrible quality the 3rd place team Asrenal have 44 points. Last year the 3rd place team after 23 games was manchester Utd and they had 43 points. Even Chelsea at the top had 53 points which is only 6 more than Leicester now have.
It is a tough league to win but Asrenal have done what they needed to do especially after the injuries. Stay in it and stay close. I dont agree that Arsenal are crumbling its just that injuries have affected results. Arsene Wenger could not just buy a lot of players because what would he then do when all the injuries healed up?

15 games to go and just 3 points behind having had a bad run and now all the injuries are healing and a full squad is going to be ready to fight for the title.

Who are these 'Delusional Brigade' and us and them? I thought we were all Arsenal fans and individuals. I agree with you on somethings but disagree on others, same as with other posters like piskie, afcftw, lazurus2000, toledo trumpton and others - i dont know if that makes me a akb, wob, delusional, ******ed, negativity, positive fan, none of the above or all of the above or just a fan...

 

I should probably have used a smiley instead of saying ******s, I think the sums up what I was going for.

I think people sometimes just think you go slightly overboard when things go bad, your like a whirlwind of emotion, looking for arguments, and going into apparent meltdown. I can understand some of the frustration but you come across like you struggle to deal with it very well.

 

He was bat **** insane, TY on steroids with his positivity. In fact was just thinking if necromancer was Toledo in disguise.

 

Yeah, I should just be pleased, we're still in it eh, and gonna be in the top 4 for the 5000th year in a row, with good finances, and all that good stuff.....So it's not all bad, we have the community shield after all.

And as I said I understand some of your frustration, no-one is asking you to be pleased, just maybe calm down a bit.

 

Im saying thats how i should react in the future when we lose, instead of 'overreacting', just be happy with being 4th and being in the title hunt. what's to be angry about, since we have those things.

 

We just never learn,we make the same f==k ups season after season.Is it any wonder people get frustrated.This bunch will never win the league because of those f==k ups.Then I think back to Wenger saying in the summer we don't need to sign players because of our big squad knowing we are going to get f----d up with our annual injury plague,and so it goes on,its like copy and paste.Its hard not to be cynical and its hard to see that situation changing with the current man in charge.Maybe I'm totally wrong but that's how i feel.

 

Why is it every time Arsenal lose a game their armchair fans go into meltdown? We have four or five on our board. Agreed you did play **** today but compared to last season you are still within touch if Wenger can get over himself.

You were slightly better in the second half when oxo and Sanches came on which gave you better impetus. Why the **** Wenger never stated with them God only knows? Years ago when you had a decent team you used to pin them down with pace on the wings and spread the play. Long lost days eh?

Arsenal are the best, and nothing's wrong, we are great, played with great character today.......and have been great recently, with a huge point at Stoke.

Oxo look sharp enough when he came on and I thought he did so much better than the man he replaced, Sanches looked a tad rusty at first but got better quickly. I think Wengers selection was flawed today and I thought he took us a little too lightly. I do like your left back though, I would buy him for 15M and William Gallas.......

 

We're not Liverpool and United, guess that's another positive.
