Yeah but I've seen this situation before. I'm really worried about the lack of cohesiveness up front now. Giroud may not score but his link up play is excellent.
Yeh but he has been **** through the middle almost every time he has had a chance there except against lower league opposition. And he doesn't offer any height or help with defending set pieces which all of our other 3central strikers do. If he had started up top I'd be more worried than Sanogo getting a chance.
I agree, I'm a big fan of the role giroud plays in our team, think its a shame he isn't in the right state of mind, or loo king fit or good enough in training. Wengers preeg are comments saying he hasn't been dropped due to the off the field stuff, but rather that he needs a rest, although no idea whether that was the truth or not!
Just a quick note - the game is on sky one as well as sky sports, so even if some of you don't have the sports package you may still be able to watch it on the tv
I think Sanogo will surprise us all tonight. I'm glad Giroud has been dropped. At least now he will stop taking his place for granted.
Cracks me up that Jamie Carragher commenting in ozil is so obviously an idiot. "Recently he's been poor, at an field he was the worst player on the pitch" surprise suprise the ex liverpool player uses the example of us giving our worst team performance to pick out ozil for criticism. Ignoring the fact he has been our best (at least in the top 2) player in our last 2 fixtures since the game he is deciding shows ozil form. It's just lazy punditry and it irritates me, it wouldn't suprise me if ozil continues to play as well as he has in our last couple of games for the next month or so before any of the pundits change there view of I'm. It's in fashion to say he isn't doing enough.
