I'm not sure what you are getting at mate. There's a big difference between being defeatist and realistic. Chelsea will not win the title, that's not me being defeatist it's me being realistic. Arsenal are 1 point off 4th with a better goal difference. The correct thing to do is play a full strength team out of respect to the travelling fans and put in a good performance, use the disappointment and channel it towards league games and securing a 3rd/4th place finish.
All I'll say is, if we can go down to 10 men with one CB 2-0 down at the Nou Camp and still go through then anything is possible. However, Bayern's defence is literally an impenetrable brick wall! ...oh and Barca didn't have 3 away goals!
I hate to be a Debbie Downer guys, but the last thing I want to see is our lads getting shellacked something like 4-1 in Munich, losing a player to injury, and coming back to a tough away game low on confidence and on tired legs. And that wall is standing in front of one of the best keepers in the world.
No, being defeatist is being defeatist. There's no place for it. God knows how many doomers accuse Arsenal of having a 'loser' mentality. I see it as completely counter productive to take this sort of attitude into the game in Munich.
