You have been told again by many people that 4th place is the bare minimum yet you either fail at comprending that or purposely ignore it
I'll respond to this point by point 1. Yes, poor defending cost us again. 2. I think this squad need rebuilding in the summer with proper intention from the manager and board. 3. Stop acting like a patronsising ****, nobody thinks there's a 'very exciting' run for 4th which is 'the best thing in the world'
That is funny. Mikel Arteta DMC 110 Passes 88% 11 Long balls 10 Effective Long balls. More than twice the number of touches of any of the other midfielders. He must be doing something special to remain "invisible" in your eyes doing all that. I dread to think what Bayern would have done in that first half if Arteta wasn't (essentially) the only one looking to keep the ball and move it forward from our defense.
To points 1 & 2, we have been saying that for years, why are we to believe that this summer things will somehow change? We had the money last summer to bring in a needed defensive midfielder, we didn't. Nothing's going to change with Wenger, and all of the previous seasons up to this very moment, is proof of that. How many times have we found ourselves in this exact position? A demoralising defeat to a top quality side where all our deficiencies are laid bare open. I'd personally go for either Moyes, who will definitely be able to give players a kick in the backside, or Mourinho, who will give players both a kick in the backside, and great motivation, plus the guy knows how set his teams up to defend. Wenger needs to go, I've had enough of getting outclassed season after season by good teams because he's too stubborn to change his failed ways.
No offence was intended , i just didnt see it. I guess if he is doing his job properly he dont stick out like a sore thumb like those that dont.
I will go on what the board have said now, that the money is available and see what Wenger does in the summer. It's clear we need strengthening through the squad. If it doesn't happen, then I think it's reasonable to ask for change.
Agreed. Today's game just confirmed that we've dropped out of the elite. Just a few years ago, Arsenal would have been competitive, but today we were totally outplayed. We used to do this to European sides, now it's reversed. It's sad to say but i think the team of 2008 was Arsene's last chance of winning big, but his best times have now gone. But I feel sorry for Wilshere. He is a top player surrounded by a lot of crap. Seeing him showing pure blood and guts was great to see, even though it as all in vain. Unless we get some serious squad investment, he will leave in the next 2-3 years max.
I think next year it might be Real Madrid that are going to hand out our annual CL beating. We have not played them in a while. Also, I bet we get Olympiakos in our group and despite having the chance to finish first we **** up and come second, so have to play one of the big teams. Our season's are so ****ing predictable.
We will have to wait and see, I don't think anything drastic will happen this summer with Wenger. Anyways, for the present, this is yet another bad season where we have failed to make any progress in closing the gap to the top. We can now safely say it's going on 8 years without a single trophy, and not looking any closer to getting it. Bayern have shown Arsenal the way it's done, both on and off the field.
Not taking the chance to end up top in our last game looks really good now doesn't it? Well a few in the blinker brigade, namely OXO, didn't think it was that much of a big deal at the time...What can you say? Blinker brigade members getting found out again. Though to be fair, he does have a point, it doesn't really matter, because let's say we got a team we could possibly beat, we'd eventually come up against one of the big boys and get beat anyway in the last 8.
We could just have easily have drawn Madrid, Milan, etc... And you have to play the Munichs sooner or later. Might as well get it out of the way first.

You've just contradicted yourself in the same comment. It doesn't really matter, as to win it you'd have to play the top teams anyway
On the plus side, we did score against the best defence in Europe. It may have been a fluke, but it was still a goal. Oh Jurgen, come and save us.
It's funny how we have got worse over these last eight years, when the plan was to get stronger and compete with the likes of Bayern with the added income as the debt gets paid off. The 2007-08 would have more than matched this current Bayern team, we would have probably lost in the end, but it would have been a close game. Money was tight then but that team was one that you could get behind. I guess the loss of Fabregas started the real decline while the sale of RVP was the final nail in the coffin.
