Yeah I didn't realise it either, but tbh I haven't checked the stats, I just saw on BBC that Wolves, Spurs and another team had done it before - obviously Wolves were around a 100 years ago...

 

I think arsene wenger is also the only manager to have won back to back FA Cups on two different occasions.

 

That was a truely awesome performance with 3 amazing goals and merts giving benteke the shoulder!

 

Mertesacker dealt with benteke very well and then capped his performance with a goal. Quality from the big German today.

The Sanchez goal was on a different level. The ball was all over the place.

The Walcott goal was a really good finish and giroud just casually out it away with the outside of his foot.

Very good goals today.

 

That's two FA Cups and a Community Shield in our last two seasons

 

Giroud is very good with that finish. Did it against us I recall.

 

Thought everybody played really well today.

That goal from Sanchez though

 

Yeh he is very good coming in to the near post like that.

 

The Sanchez goal was incredible, from that distance to put it so solidly into the back of the net was amazing!

 

That and the fact that he finishes with what I'd consider the outside of the wrong foot

 

He's scored a few goals like that. One of his strengths is getting to the near post first and slotting past the keeper at the near post

 

Last season our top four finish and FA Cup win was only bettered by City winning the league and league cup. This season our top four finish, Communty Shield win and FA Cup win is only bettered by Chelsea's league and league cup win. I say next season we win the league and league cup

 

Santi was different level today, like a Xavi or Iniesta at their best, unreal performance from the little genius.

Sánchez goal was individual brilliance but Walcott goal was special too. He started it off, set it up, pounced on the loose ball and volleys it beautifully to give us the lead. That was special

 

And you've got to love the three subs putting together the final move and goal of the game with wilshere playing it to oxo who puts it across for giroud to finish. They all get to feel like they had a part to play even oxo who came on so late.

 

Walcott showed just why we need to keep him at the club today. Always dangerous and one player who just wants to get in front of goal and shoot.

 

It was also good that in his after match interview he was talking all about next season. Sounds to me like he will sign a new contract.

 

Think they need to move the FA Cup final to 3pm again. Just isnt right at half 5.
