Has any team retained the cup 3 times on the bounce? Would be great if we could do it, don't see it happening, but we should go for it.

Watching the highlights, we should have been 3-0 up at least before we finally scored, if we didn't score before half time, it really could have turned into one of those days.

    Fantastic performance which epitomised
our determination this season. Back to back FA cups is a very special achievement and serious credit to Wenger for the leadrship and determination he has shown this season. Sanchez has been so good for us and for me he is our player of the season. It's not just his performace but his winning attitude and spirit which contributed to yet another trophy.

Blackburn Rovers did, as a reward from the FA they are the only club to have the right to put their club crest on all four corner flags.

All our players were on form. Any
Instead of where is Wally, we should be doing where is Diaby...

Wembley is like a home game for London clubs though isn't it?

Still, terrific play, great support, I was thoroughly delighted Arsenal smashed those twats <laugh>

Yep looking it up it seems Blackburn won it three times in a row in the 1880s, the first win was to a crowd of 4000 people! Which is before many modern day clubs even existed! So if we won it three times in a row we would be the first club to do so in 130 years.

We are already part of a small group of clubs to have won the league title three years running. It'd be cool to add three years running of FA Cups to that record, but it is no easy task. It's impressive to have managed to win it back to back and it'll be difficult to win it again.

Think, he's referring to the fact we opened the Emirates up for supporters to watch the game on a big screen. Thousands turned up.

    Wenger's record vs Sherwood:

    Played: 4

    Won: 4

    <diva>

Hopefully he (Sherwood) never alters his tactics against us because if he's manager of AV next season, it'll be the easiest 6 points of our season.

Must have been a bittersweet feeling for him yesterday! <laugh>

Lol check out the replay of Mertesacker's goal. Kos has had his shirt pulled over his head by a Villa defender and he's appealing to the ref. It looks like he's doing an early goal celebration because he knows the BFG is going to nail it <laugh>

Its funny as he looks like hes in the process of taking his top off and sliding in the corner in celebration, tho he started before the goal was scored. But the way the villa defender manhandled him was appalling, he almost judo threw him away from the ball by the scruff of his shirt

as a neutral it lost it's sparkle after the 2nd and you took your foot off the gas, I would've preferred the first 3 to have been disallowed and you to win with the 4th. I've never witnessed a more one-sided cup final.

It would have been interesting to see if the referee would have given a penalty if Mertersacker hadn't scored

'kin tell me about it! That was my plan B after failing to get Wembley tickets, turns out I couldn't get in there either so ended up in The Gunners Pub. Christ that was messy... was supposed to be meeting the wife at 8 and attending a 30th birthday thing in Islington afterwards. Ha. Ended up being so soaked in beer I think I rung out a couple of pints from my clothes when I left the place. Also completely ballsed my knee up celebrating the first.

To say the missus was unhappy with my appearance was an understatement. Frankly, she should be impressed I managed to show up the state I was in! Couldn't dent my mood in the slightest though <cheers>

I'm going to unstick this thread now unless anybody objects ?

It's looking a bit cluttered at the top of our board
